Ive had my first tattoo started by Mary and wouldnt go anywhere else. She takes the time to go out of her way for her clients and is a pleasure to be around, she gave me a consultation to which i brought some ideas, she then drew up the design which looked amazing and each time i go the experiences just get better and better. I hope for much more needlework in the near future.

Mary-jane was really helpfull, seeing as it was my first tattoo i wanted something simple. my tattoo is exactly how i wanted it, its simple but AMAZING. im so satisfied that ive already booked my second with her and would like her to also design my third. i would highly recommend Mary-jane.

I highly recommend Crimson Canvas for anybody thinking of having a tattoo. From the start Mary has been extremely professional, from my original idea’s she started to produce some art work which looked fantastic, she was not afraid to advise me on some of the aspects of my idea which she thought might not work so well but she was also helpful in suggesting alternative idea’s, all this work was free of charge!

Mary’s studio is small but very clean and smart, being so small it makes the experience of being tattooed a very personal experience which i really enjoy, it has the feeling of being tattooed at home.

The Chair! Is very comfortable which when your spending four hours at a time in it, it needs to be! Mary’s freehand work is brilliant and it is great to know that your tattoo will be an original piece of ark work.

Keep up the great work Mary. Looking forward to my next stint in the chair!

I have had dealings with Mary-Jane of Crimson Canvas for quite a few years and have always found her to be honest and extremely good at her art. Not only is she a talented artist but is able to turn a piece of art on a sheet of paper into a work of art on a person’s skin. She is always professional and will inform you if your requirements are not “doable” and even research the industry to show she knows her “stuff”. I have had many tattoos completed by mary and I am extremely happy with every single one of them. I recommend to everyone that is interested in tattoos and art to go and see Mary-Jane as she is an amazing free hand tattooist and not one of these half assed artists who think that being able to stensil and colour is an art. Mary-Jane is a true artist who has fought every step of the way to get where she is now. i highly recommened crimson canvas, i am in the process of having a dragon tattoo done on my right arm, it looks fantastic so far and i will be going back soon to have more done on it, before the tattoo was done, mary-jane was very thorogh at the consultation, advising on all aspects of the tattoo, i would recommend anyone to go to crimson canvas, a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. one of the best freehand tattooist i know.

I thought I was too old for a tattoo but have been assured I’m not. I chose to go to Crimson Canvas as I liked the look of the business from the outside. It didn’t have the same look or feel as other studios I’ve looked in and passed. I’d also heard really good things about Mary-Jane and have seen some of her art work so I know she is a talented artist. I had an initial consultation, free of charge, where we discussed my ideas and wants. Mary-Jane drew up my design and I loved it. It was a bit bigger than I thought but because of what I’d chosen, a peony, it had to be bigger than I thought a – to do it justice & b – to allow a realistic image to be achieved & c- to kepp the finished image for ever. After a lengthy discusion over colours my design is being “tweeked” and I’ll be getting it soon. Having seen Mary-Jane’s art work that has been transformed into “skin art”, better known as a tattoo, I am convinced my tattoo will look exactly like the design drawn by Mary-Jane. I have no hesitation in recomending Mary-Jane and Crimson Canvas to anyone wanting a truly unique piece of artwork for life. The piercings my daughters have had done, including dermal anchors, have healed with no problems and receive many compliments. All in all Crimson Canvas and Mary-Jane should be on you list to check out if you’re in the market for a piercing or a tattoo that no one else will have.
