Fantastic place to go for a really spoilly, but not cheap... we spent £80 a head (two people). The food was fantastic though, and the service , as you would hope for the price is impecabble.
Fantastic on a late summer evening to sit outside in the garden and enjoy a few pre-dinner cocktails.

too expensive for me as the credit crunch has left us dining in places like frankie and bennys but the food is good with a good service. if it is hot avoid going here as no ventilation and you cook as well.

Went here for my graduation celebration meal with my family. One of the best meals I've ever had. Superb food and service. The only problem was the heat! The gorgeous building doesn't lend itself to eating indoors in the heat of summer. Staff were great, and even brought out a special dessert saying congratulations on it! Great evening.
I also went with some student mates. Be warned, it's a very expensive bar!

It was really interesting, the modern european food was excellent, the way it is situated and reflect old time memory is fabulous. Simple and stylish. Service is wonderful and very very friendly. i enjoyed my time being there.

This resturant is one of the best in nottingham. This is quality dining and posh food. The food is really expensive, but is the best in nottingham for eating out.

For the people in this world who like the experience of eating out and have enough money to do so in style, this is the absolute best in Nottingham.
This is my “special occasion” place, and we go the whole hog! Extensive list of cocktails when you arrive, including champagne cocktails, all taken in a delightfully relaxed seating area near the bar. Three courses of superb quality, and thoughtfully constructed food, which portion sizes are plentiful but not over the top. Great wine list, with write-ups that actually describe what you drink! Coffee, liquers and petit fours in the bar after the meal.
Don’t expect any money for the cab home after, but it’s all worth it.

Modern European food, excellent service, amazing food, it’s quite expensive, but it worth the penny. Have been there again & again, never disappointed. If you want to give it a try, better go lunch time for a set menu. Highly recommend!

An absolute must of a dining experience even if you can only afford to do it once!
The food and service are sublime. You never feel rushed or cramped and the garden is gorgeous; a real hideaway in the middle of a busy city.
You can eat here at lunchtime from 12 - 2.
I have two friends living in London (quite a few good restaurants there?) who come up here to eat for birthdays/special occasions. Can’t get a better reccomendation than that!

This restaurant is very unique in the aspect that I have not eaten in a facility quite like it. The restaurant is based in a 17th century house fairly central in Nottingham. If you like a bit of history and culture when you eat then this might be the place for you. The interior is very stylish and lavish and very rich, the definitely promotes the feeling of a historic building. They offer a great A La Carte menu with a great variety of British dishes. Without sounding ageist when I ate here I was the youngest person here. It is very classy and the staffs have been trained to deal with a height clientele of people. Ideal if you fancy a posh night out

I totally agree with muddybunny, World Service is amazing. There’s not a bad thing that I can say about it, it is just perfect.
I think it is expensive as when I went with my boyfriend, it cost £140! However, we did make the most of it and order 3 courses, and I think that the expense just adds to the experience.

Wow! And it’s not often I say “Wow”. This place has it all. Frankly, I couldn’t believe I was in Nottingham. Before your meal you can enjoy a drink in the garden whilst you peruse the extensive wine list.
Inside it’s a real experience of fine dining at its best. The service is perfect, the waiting staff are just “there” when you need them. The evening A La Cart Menu has it all. Innovation, taste and experimentation. They even source local produce. It’s not overly expensive, but if you’re on a budget you might have to save your pennies for a bit, but if you want somewhere for a special occasion this is it.
Two of our party who live in London have actually made the trip back to Nottingham just to eat here. I can’t say more than that.
