We have stayed at the Kingsmere on several occasions and for a number of reasons including pleasure and business and would not consider anywhere else. Russell and Pauline are so welcoming, the rooms are beautiful and spotless and the breakfast is delicious. We often have to use guest houses up and down the country, but can safely say this is our favourite!!

We spent a winter weekend in South Shields and had a wonderful stay at the Kingsmere Guest House.
Russell and Pauline are fantastic hosts, rooms are immaculately clean and tidy and the atmosphere at breakfast was great .

Had a memorable stay. Pauline and Russell are warm, wonderful hosts.
The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We will definitely be returning!!!!

Been coming to kingsmere for the past 6 years and will be continuing to use them for years to come. Since my first visit with my grandad I have now
introduced the whole family to kingsmere and now everyone’s hooked!
Pauline and Russell are brilliant hosts and always do their upmost to make you fell welcome. So much so they are now very much regarded as family friends.
Anyone who stops at this guesthouse will not be disappointed!
