My girlfriend and I only made a short trip to Paris and so only had one day at Disneyland. From everything I had read on the internet about it, I thought we would miss out on loads but when we were actually there I was surprised to see how small it was. All the areas were very close by so you could reach either side within five minutes. After being used to the long treks between areas at Alton Towers this was quite a welcome surprise and we had been sightseeing around Paris the day before and our feet had seen better days! However we did only go into the main park and not the walt disney studios.
The rides here were surprisingly average except for Space Mountain which left us giggling wrecks. The queues didnt really affect us too much as we made full use of the fast pass system except for the ast few rides of the day and we had to queue for a good forty minutes to get on the Peter Pan ride (which was actually great!). I think if you want a theme park with just good rides, you may as well stay in England and go to Alton Towers. The deficiencies in the ride caliber however was more than made up by the general feel of the place. They have put a lot of effort into making the park really attractive and so you can with a small amount of imagination feel like you are walking around a piratey island or haunted house. The parades are very good too and although many websites tell you this is the best time to go on the rides, I’d recommend that you just stop and enjoy it as its not something to get to see every day.

Before I start out this review I would like to comment that I really wasn’t that bothered about going to Disneyland Paris before I went. I was dragged by an eager boyfriend and I have on comment. 'IT WAS BRILLIANT’ We are both fully mature adults and went along in October half term, at halloween. We read reviews before we went and thought 'big mistake’ it was going to be a nightmare. It wasn’t at all. We got the train in the morning easily from Paris (we had bought our tickets previously from Disney store) queued for a while, got in and off we went. One annoying thing was not being allowed into the main areas until exactly ten o clock as this is only for the people staying in the hotels. It was pretty horrible to see them letting some people through and feeling a bit second class! Anyway after that we were just swept away. In the Disneyland park there is only one really good 'thrill ride’ and that was Space Mountain. The rest were really just experience rides with amazing scenery which I loved. We utilised the fast passes and didn’t really have to queue too much apart from to see Mickey Mouse!! All in all a magical experience that anyone can enjoy even if you aren’t a particuarly disney fan.

I didn’t expect to like Disneyland and went because the kids were 'the right age’. I though it would be too tacky but actually it’s so well done that it does feel magical and I was won over. My youngest loved the Dumbo ride the most, unfortunately so did so many other kids, so long queues for quite a simple but sweet ride, my eldest fave was the Thundermountain, also long queues but with adult appeal as well! The Star Wars simulator was great, very little queue time so we went on this a lot. The Studio park lacked the magic of the main park and the 'theming’ didn’t work for me, but there were some very good attractions inside, the stunt show, animagique show and the terrifying rock n roller coaster stand out and its worth a day in the Studio park, and also its a lot less crowded than the main park.

I love Disney land resort Paris.Very similar to Disney world but without the expensive trip to America.(oerfect for those on a budget)There are two main parks and disney village .(Disney park and disney studios) The park has all the rides you would expect from disney with characters such as buzz lightyear and mad hatter teacups. When i went studios was getting extended and they now have a tower of terror, not that i plan on going near it.Places to eat in Disney village include Planet hollywood and a chicken place.I didnt notice many healthy places to eat.

This is a very nice theme park, especially for european standards. However, compared to Florida it is nowhere near as vast and there are not as many things to do. However, this is also reflected in the price, and it would still make a very good weekend break, especially being so convenient with the Eurostar.

For kids of all ages! Exceptional train ride from Paris centre, straight out of the station and straight into the Park. For all we older kids, the nostalgic feeling is wonderful. Seeing all your childhood characters come to life. The queues for the rides werent too bad, but it was worth it and the parade made me feel 10 again. The hotels nearby have some wonderful deals for children staying. Don’t miss it, even if it is just a day trip.

I love the Disneyland Paris resort! There are two parks: The Disneyland Park and the Studios Park, as well as six hotels, and one slightly off site hotel. You need at least 3 days to see it all, including the Disney Village. There are some great restaurants, and lots of Disney shops. Be sure to see the afternoon parade. The rides are incredible - make sure you plan what you want to see before you visit to ensure you do not miss out on anything. You can get here by Eurostar - the train station is onsite!

I spent a week here: on an International Buddhist Festival!
Somewhat incongruous I agree, but very pertinent.
Disneyland is great for what it is, but all that consumerism!! As if buying cheap plastic tat at exhorbitant prices is going to make you happy!
I went a few years back when my daughter was about 9, and I felt then that it was all so false - this is in pre-Buddhist days!
Taken at total face value and without taking it too seriously it’s good fun.
I’d rather go for a walk though!
xx

Disneyland Paris is actually made up of two parks, the Disneyland Park and the Studios. The studios is the newest of the parks and so far the least developed. However thats not to say it doesn’t have excitement and thrills! There are a number of rides there including the recent Crush’s Coaster, a great rollercoaster in which you travel facing back and forwards. Also there is the new Twighlight Tower of Terror. This ride brought from MGM studios in Florida is a truly terrifying experience and will make you never travel in a lift again!! It drops you a number of floors at high speed. The ride is never the same experience twice. Additionally exclusive to Disneyland Paris is the Armagedden ride, based on the film, you go inside the Russian space station for a pretend scene shoot. The special effects are great although young children will find it intense as there is water, fire and explosions. One of the best experiences in the studios is the stunt show featuring a whole host of car capers including Herbie. This show proved so popular that one has been opened in Florida. The rock and Rollercoaster is extremely popular and features a lot of fast moving twists and turns and music from aerosmith. The Disney Park is much more traditional featuring rides such as 'its a small world’ (yes you will hum the tune for the rest of the holiday!), dumbo and peter pans flight. Peter pan I particularly like because it creates the fantasy of being in a ship flying through the air and the view over London is great. Big thunder mountain is a big crowd pleaser. It is a traditional mine train rollercoaster with of course the disney twist. There is also Space mountain for the more adventurous as it is in the dark. There are some great shows too particularly the4 Lion King which all ages will love and features everyones favourite songs. Of course there are the parades and character signings. The best time I have visited has been at Halloween when the park goes all out to create a spooky atmoshere with pumpkins everywhere, characters dressed as halloween monsters plus activities such as scary hair and makeup for the kids or big kids. No Disneyland Paris isn’t as great as Florida but for a short break it is well worth a look.

This is magic personified. Disney still has it. With every kind of ride and attraction available, there is something for everyone. The kids wont be shouting about being bored here. It is not on the scale of Orlando but its just as good. The Disney rides, are safe and all have height restrictions. Plenty of places to eat and if staying on the park most of the hotels have shuttle service to the park gates, as the walk from the hotels can take 20 mins. Some of the hotels arrange for day trips to Paris but this can work out expensive. Great fun place to stay or visit for kids and adults alike.

I went to Disneyland Paris in 2007 as part of Paris trip , It was great. Disneyland has 2 parks , Fantasy land and the other one . so it’s not as big as Orlando , you can get here by getting the euro star or the RER Trains. I think this is a great place for children as most rides are suitable for them and it’s Disney.
verdict - worth a visit but if you have been to Florida don’t expect it be better.

Always a great day at Disneyland. Was a fabulous day out in mid feb which meant it wasn’t very busy so the wait to get on rides was not long. Overpriced food as you would expect but everythin gis layed out EXACTLY the same as Disneyland in LA.

I absolutely love this place and because I live in France it’s not too expensive to get to.
If you go, you definitely need more than 3 days to do the whole park comfortably. Definitely recommend the hotels too. The all inclusive is also recommended as it saves a fortune on food.
The whole experience never tires even when you get older….

Stay as close to the Park as you can - it’s good to be able to come out for a break without losing too much of the day. For most folks the three Disney owned hotels are expensive (about 3 times the cost of off-site hotels and motels) and simply not worth all that money. The off-site hotels on Harbor Blvd from the Howard Johnson’s to the Candy Cane Inn are what most folks call walking distance.
Get your park tickets in advance - most hotels sell them at reception and this will save you a lot of queueing time before you get inside the park. The best deal on multi-day ParkHoppers is buying them in advance before you arrive, Disneyland.com sells them and there are no additional fees if you opt for the Print at Home option (e-ticket). You take the printed bar code directly to the entrance turnstiles for entry to the parks.
If you have a child/ren under about 5 - TAKE A STROLLER/BUGGY. Small children just can’t last the pace and the amount of walking involved. Disneyland rent strollers by the day ($10) from a desk at the right hand side of the main entrance. They’re good because they are large and sturdy even for older kids, easy to push, and in the unlikely event of a problem you just return it to the desk and get another one. They also have large storage baskets underneath the seat which are very useful. But if you bring your own, or buy one when you arrive in Anaheim, you can save money and also have the use of the stroller going to and from the parks, and for the rest of your trip.
Try to get into the park as early in the day as you can. Get to the “must see” rides and do them first before the lines get too long.
You are on Vacation, so do not rush things, taking a break in the middle of the day is a good plan for most folks. Disneyland is at its busiest at this time, and going back to your hotel and grabbbing a bite to eat, taking a nap, or enjoying the pool is a nice change from the crowds. Take your time, and enjoy your trip. It is NOT a race.

to orlando in the past and felt very welcome this was totally the opposite. The staff were rude and arrogant. They should not be working at such a park if they cannot get into the spirit and magic of Disney. Some of the rides were not working and some parts of the site were not in use. We were told they only open certain bits at weekends. I did not get a discount on entry and paid the same as a weekend visitor. The queue times which were displayed as being 15 mins were actually closer to 90 mins. I would not have joined the queue if it was correctly updated. Save your money and visit Florida where you will be experience the real fun and animation of Disney. And the staff can smile and feel proud of it unlike the French.

Disney magic! They have Disneyland park, with the Sleeping Beauty castle and all the usual Disney rides, as well as the Walt Disney Studios park, (for adults, a highlight is Aerosmith’s Rockin Rollercoaster, my favourite Studios ride). They’ve got the Disney Village area as well for after-hours, with restaurants and shows (check schedules). We stayed in the New York New York hotel for a great value, so check internet packages -- it was a very nice hotel, and located near the park entrance. Otherwise, if you’re staying in Paris and just want a day trip to Disney, you can take the metro -- it will take you straight to the park. Fun for kids and adults alike.

This has got to be the best theme park in Europe! The attention to detail is increadible. I took my 6 year old son and we both loved it. Some say its targeted at kids (of course) but its the kind of place you can enjopy whetever your age if you are willing to let loose. There is always something to do and see and more often than not its quite spectacular. Don’t miss the evening parade but get there early to get a good view. Get fastpass tickets wherever you can, popular rides can have horrendous queues in high season. Don’t miss out on the high quality shows. And even though you may not be inclined do go and enjoy “Its a small world”, especially if you have young kids. And… do a character breakfast and meet some Disney characters, they are great with kids and adults alike! Oh, and stay in a Disnet hotel if you can afford it. We stayed at the Cheyenne and its a full size cowboy town. For prices do look around on the internet, we saved £200 on a 3 night stay compared to the big operators. The buses from the airport are poorly run so if its convenient for you take the Eurostar (it goes to the heart of Disneyland. Try to plan your days otherwise you could end up missing out on the many things to do and see. Mostly, go with an open mind.

Went here for the second time the beginning of August, first went 4 years ago. The magic was still there! It was a lovely holiday, we did it a bit differently this time by stopping off site and getting a 4 day hopper ticket.
We spend the first day in the Studio and the best, must sees here are the HMS shows (for the kids) Hollywood Tower which you can fast pass and is great, you are literally taken a foot out of your seat! Crushes Coaster and Stitch Live.
As for Disney park, you have four parks and we spent the most time in Frontier land and Fantasy land. We saved the parades and fireworks displays for the final day and they were amazing!
It is a long day though and very tiring! Wear sensible shoes and keep a water bottle with you to fill during the day as the drinks are very expensive

Small enough to do in a day and just enough disney without being over the top! The fireworks were fantastic. Food is pricey. Great for younger kids who are not old enough to be dragged round the bigger versions!
