I don't think that the pies are too greasy but hate the mayonnaise they seem to put on every sandwich.

This place must be doing something right because there's a queue out it every day. Greasy pies and such like at very cheap prices. No wonder!

If you like your food greasy and mass produced get in an Alton Towers style queue and sell-out here.
Byres road has a fantastic range of independent bars, cafes and places where you can grab something tasty and freshly made, but if you have a hangover and need something guilty, stodgy and mass produced allow yourself a visit here to experience the cattle market for yourself.

Great, cheap, baking in store. If you can stand the queues out the door then go and get yourself a sausage roll and a pink jammy. Now!

Can’t get much better value for money the Greggs. Sandwiches and pastries and always fresh. Would recommend this over any overpriced “deli” anyday.

Greggs Bakers in Byers Road, Glasgow is simply Scrumptious!!
The staff are brilliant, patient and good humoured. They would need to be as between 12pm and 1.30pm it is heaving! The queue has been seen to twist right around the corner and half way down the street leading to Ruthven Lane! School children come in their droves during their lunch hours for hot sausage rolls, cheese and onion pasties not to mention the cakes! Oh God! The cream cakes! Fresh cream doughnuts! Mmmmmmm!
My favourite of all is a chicken mayo “Big Softie” on brown. There is nothing and I mean, no thing that is dry or unappetising about this lunch, mid morning snack, gosh, any time you feel like it roll ! It is soft and moist, so full of flavour and I feel positively healthy whilst eating this gastronomic delight!
A couple of quid in your pocket and you’ll do nicely!
You can always buy a savoury mince round to put in your bag too! Take this home with you after work, bung it in the oven and heat it up for dinner. So quick and yummy! Lovely flavoured mince filling and gorgeous light fluffy pastry!
Luv ya Greggs!
