It’s not easy to find a good Italian Restaurant nowadays. Except for this place…FJL, too is hands down the best place for great tasting pasta. I came here the first time with my friend. He suggested we eat here, because it’s one of the best Italian places to eat. I took his word for it….I am a happy gal after coming here. Thanks!
I’ve eaten a few of their pasta dishes, but by far my favorite is Fresh Salmon Florentine. It’s cooked with the following, fresh salmon sauteed with garlic, butter, shallots, fresh tomatoes and spinach in a cream sauce over fetuccine al dente. Satisfying to my tummy! I have yet to try their Oven-baked dishes and sandwiches. I heard that their pretty good.
The staff is really friendly and quick to serve. Hostess/Host has always been nice and seems to enjoy chit-chatting with customers who are waiting for a table…this place does get pretty busy at any time of the day.
If you come here at least an hour before they close, you’ll get a table right away. I don’t think you’d want a late dinner though. So I suggest to come around 6 before a wave of people start to come in.
If you’re looking for a budget in your wallet….try their dinner specials. They have one dish served each night Monday through Friday.
FAMILY DINNER nights, they include a course of One-half gallon house salad, One-half gallon spaghetti or rigatoni Bolognese, One medium cheese pizza, A whole BBQ chicken, and Half loaf of bread (this is for TO-GO orders only).
A great family-style dinner place and great portions for one person. I definitely needed a to-go box to take my leftovers home. Prices are reasonable for the food that you get. The restaurant itself is cozy and you’ll always feel welcome (kind of like an Italian second-home but I’m really filipino).
