Bratwursts are to Nuremburg what deep fried mars bars are to Glasgow. I liked this place a lot and, one piece of advice, get the chips as they’re fantastic. Downside? Not a lot. It’s based in Soho, nearer Oxford Street than Shaftesbury Avenue, and offers a wide selection of German favourites like schnitzel as well as sausages (bratwursts).
The only thing that irked me is that the person in front of me was waving a printed voucher and got free chips. Next time. Overall a great little joint and the bratwursts are juicy pices of sausage heaven.
Not all sausages are created equal! The Bratwurst import theirs from an award winning butcher in Germany, which is the traditional home of the Bratwurst Sausage.
Consisting of 86% pork and bacon in a natural casing, they have a hint of cumin to add a little spice, and are served in a freshly baked, crunchy Brotchen roll and finished off with a tangy German mustard.
Customers can enjoy some new additions to the menu, including Frikadeller (German pork and beef patties), and Schnitzel (golden breadcrumbed pork steaks). Prices will start from £2.95.
