The Retreat

I unfortunately cannot rate The Retreat properly as they couldn't accommodate my booking. I had a booking that they needed to move but they didn’t have availability until end of November. Given they moved my initial booking I thought they would try to help but I was told they are good therefore busy and I should get a refund or book in Nov. I was rightly frustrated but did not use foul language nor raise my voice, I just made it clear this wasn’t how to deal with people you move around. I also asked why my initial appointment was moved and they refused to answer. Nevertheless they said they would not want to serve me and my only option was a refund.

I have never been treated in such an undignified manner. Maybe I am lucky to have not encountered such poor customer relations before but it is the last thing I would expect from a salon that is meant to be a “retreat”.

There are a few treatments you HAVE it try here: the enzyme peel, the marine facial and the anti- ageing lift. I have been to Harrods’ Urban Retreat and the spa at Harvey Nichols but Denise at The Retreat was by far the best and cheaper although it is pricey if you are used to the body shop. My sster and I both have reactive oily skin which was prone to acne and discolouration but Denise fixed my skin in about two months with a home skin treatment included. My sister’s treatment took longer but her acne was more severe but she got a nice surprise be ause her skin looked younger and was getting progressively more lifted. Loved the Jan Marini sunblock Denise recommended and I no longer need foundation.
