Took up on a buy one get one free offer, Pizza tasted great, only disappointed as pizza bases too burnt so had to 'saw’ our way through. Also seating very cramped and we were placed quite near the door next to a big queue of clients waiting for tables so doesn’t offer much privacy. Staff very friendly and professional. nice ambience and decor fine.

This is one of the smallest Pizza Express restaurants I’ve been to and I agree with the reviewers who say it feels a bit claustraphobic. Although once the food is in front of you it is exactly as per the rest of the chain and you forget the tiny space. Have eaten here a million times during a decade working in Chiswick and never been disappointed. The pizzas are great, the service is speedy and the staff friendly and efficient. Handly positioned on the High Road although parking can be tricky - there is more parking on the opposite side of the road in front of All Bar One.

This restaurant has just had a makeover. And it looks exactly the same. But that aside, Britain’s favourite fast food franchise (it’s always voted the top of the chains in foodie rags up and down the land) can’t really do wrong. When you offer a standard of food that is so high in every single restaurant you own, it’s the food equivalent of bumping into an old friend on every high street you walk down.

The Chiswick branch loses a star purely because it is the unfortunate victim of Chiswick architecture - only the houses are opulent, never the trade spaces - and thus lacks the character of, say, the Richmond or East Sheen restaurants. But then, I don’t really see the people of Chiswick using this as a romantic alternative to McDonalds (although, to its credit, it still ticks the boxes). And with so many buy one get one free deals littering the papers and the internet, it makes for a great cheap lunch. What would you rather, a Four Seasons pizza or the Boots meal deal?

I do like Pizza Express, you know what to expect, and so it’s often a reliable choice. This establishment is no different. Although I think it’s too small and the seating feels a bit cramped. In the summer it’s stifingly hot inside, although the option to sit outside it there.

I love the dough balls and the pizzas, always extra artichokes for me as they are delicious!
