went here on the sunday night of august bank holiday and was happy they had a late licence and were open until 2. had a great time, bar staff were all very friendly and the music was great. loved the cocktails, especially the oreo one.
Ok, I don’t have a clue about cocktails. The number of cocktails I have drunk in my life can possibly be counted using my fingers alone. I’m not experienced in cocktail bars either. Having said that, I think Be@1 is absolutely awesome. It’s simple: two super friendly bartenders having a lot fun, scooping vanilla ice cream, different kinds of liqueurs and crushed oreo biscuits in a blender and then pouring it over our glasses while singing and making fun of each others. And then they have 2×1, great music (that everybody sign aloud when it’s a famous and catching song) and the cocktails were really good (for my totally inexperienced taste buds, yes). I had Japanese Slipper, Bolero (soooo good, with vanilla ice cream, mango and passion fruit liqueur) and a non-alcoholic On the wagon.
I’m looking forward to go back sometime and this isn’t something that I would say of a cocktail bar.

Decent bar which is v.lively on a weekend! Good cocktails and friendly staff which serve pretty quickly considering how busy it was.
Not all that cheap, but about right for the area.
Only downside was it took ages to get a table, but as I said it was busy.
I had a really good night with my boyfriend and wanted to finish it off by having a cocktail.
Saw this place walking around so ventured in...
The place was full and brimming with energy and the bartenders were a loud bunch acting up, tossing cocktails, throwing ice around and chatting with their mates.
I thought what an amazing place...then after waiting 15 minutes of being overlooked for people behind me even though I was directly in front of the bar...at the bar I finally made my order for a "Frozen Strawberry Bellini" and a "Whisky Sour".... I finally got my drink after he mistakenly placed it in front of not one but two of his mates before I shouted out "over here" I stupidly tipped him but hey I work in a similar field and so I always tip... wish I didn't because the "cocktails" were absolutely foul... my "Bellini" tasted like cheap strawberry cordial mixed with beer/flat prosecco...my boyfriends "whisky sour" tasted like some vaguely alcoholic cheap soft-drink... I tried to drink more than 4 sips but felt sick. We returned our unfinished drinks straight to the bar and walked straight out... trying to get the rancid taste out of our mouths with chewing gum....never again.
I can see why people go there if they are regulars who know the bartenders... but as a newbie with taste-buds looking for a nice cocktail...to be blunt...it's nauseating.
Avoid.
One of the worst bars i've been to in a long time. I know this is central and all, but this too expected.
Extremely pricey drinks, with only average to sub-average quality. Boring Boring Boring is all I can say. Avoid this place as there are much better things in the area.
Feels like a tourist trap. Tacky, cheesy, ugly, stupid and overpriced.
If you fancy a great cocktail at reasonable price then it is the place to go!
They have a great range of cocktails, from the classics to the ice cream ones with a wide range of flavours....yummy!! And all that with a very appealing 2-4-1 happy hour offer!
I also have to mention the quality of the bar staff, very speedy and efficient, friendly, and an excellent team work!
Music a bit loud so I wouldn't recommend it for a first date but great atmosphere.
I'll definately be back there!
Love this place with mates for a cocktail (or several), they are very reasonable for central London and the menu is crazily long. The only problem that we have in there is choosing a cocktail in time to get the happy hour 2-4-1! The staff are all friendly so I don’t feel uncomfortable sitting at the bar waiting for people. A friend of mine introduced me to this place and I’ve taken most people I know and they all think it’s brilliant.
One thing to mention, if you want a quiet chat or it’s a first date then don’t go here as you won’t be able to hear ANYTHING that the people you’re with are saying! It starts off quiet at about 5pm but the music is quickly turned up to max.
Looking for a quiet bar to have a peaceful drink and meaningful conversation? Then head elsewhere. Looking for great, cheap cocktails, and classic floor-fillers on the sound system to get your night off to a good start? Then be at be at one at five for the 2for1 happy hours.
Working your way through the cocktail list would lead to all sorts of renal problems, so pick a theme and work off the A-Z index. Mango anything is a good bet. And if, like me, you have an Oreo addiction, the “Irish disco biscuit” will fill in for a meal.
If you’re going with a large party, it’s worth reserving a table.
There is a reason we all like crushed ice cocktails- those memories of being a child and getting Slushies, towers of lumo coloured ice that guaranteed a hyper sugar rush… Fast forward to today, and I can recommend a place that will give you that feeling… Be At One! Two for one is an obviously popular choice, and once you start doubling up on the mango daiquiris (purely hypothetical) I can assure you that after the brain freeze you can expect to want to get involved!
Bar staff are friendly, and even though I’m not a fan of the wink with drink syndrome, in London sometimes you’re lucky if you get eye contact, so I’ll let that one slide.
Also a cracker of a position to people watch, and entertainingly the people on the street are often showing their signs of intoxication well before you are!
Im not a massive fan of noisy/dancy places but this is one I can handle, the music is fun and varied and the cocktails are without a doubt some of the best I’ve had in London and its worth going again and again purely just to drink them! Its not too packed and the clientele seem to be fun, friendly, relaxed and unpretentious. I like that you can take your drink out with you if you need to go for a smoke or just want some fresh air. Price wise its not bad but this is central London so don’t expect the impossible.
There’s also a BeAtOne just off the Northcote Road in South London - very good for cocktails and very popular.
I love this place. Great music, friendly barmen and fantastic cocktails make this one of my favourite cocktail bars. The place is always buzzing and unlike some of it’s more expensive Soho rivals the vibe is always relaxed and unpretentious.
You get 2 for 1 cocktails every evening as far as I know, but at around £6 for a cocktail it isn’t expensive anyway.
Try the strawberry mojito!
Great bar, been to some of the other units and all are amazing! a huge range of drinks, all made really well. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. The 2-4-1 cocktail hour is a great start to the night out. And as a bonus to my group, their range of non alcoholic cocktails were the best we’ve had in London. All in all a fab bar!
2 for 1 cocktails - check.
Guns n’ Roses playing really, really loud - check.
Friendly staff and great location - check.
I’m not usually a cocktail bar kind of guy, but Be@1 get it just right. This place was obviously a pub beforehand, but they have converted it into a fully fledged cocktail bar (in fact, there is even a sign above the bar saying if you ask for a pint of beer you have to buy the bartenders a drink! Classic.). My mojito was great and we all had a fun time.
I’ll be coming back!
