Amanti Restaurant

A very unpleasant place!

Since all other places in the media harbor were packed during a fair in Düsseldorf we went to the Amanti to celebrate with our client. We had two waiters 'taking care' of us. While the younger girl was very friendly the older guy who was friendly in the first place turned out to be quite obnoxious during the evening. We ordered some meals and drinks and some ordered different courses with accompanying wine. The older waiter taking the orders was almost rude to people who only wanted a light dinner, basically asking them if that is everything with quite a weird tone! It seemed like we didn't order enough to be welcome!

The starters tasted ok but for the price you would have expected a bit more. Anyhow, the show started on the main courses. We were served in two waves. While the first half had their plates the rest was waiting for their food to arrive. Asking the waiter what has happened to the food he babbled something, went away and after another 10 minutes the food arrived. This great service was on top performed in a very stressed and unpleasant atmosphere. Most of the food was warmish, barely spiced and some of the pasta was somewhat slobbery.

For dessert we did something wrong again. While we were waiting for the dessert, we unfortunately declined another bottle of wine so that the waiter went away with our wine cooler, including our previous bottle of wine. Pathetic! - I would not recommend this place by any means!
