This large supermarket stocks practically everything…in fact I have yet to go in there and not find something to buy.

Books tend to be a lot cheaper here than in bookstores (I’m sorry bookstores but it is true) but the selection is slim.

They also stock art supplies in the stationary section which are much cheaper than in regular stationary stores.

Upstairs is the public toilets and a café that serves very nice and reasonably priced hot and cold food and drinks.

A huge store, stocking a large range of food and non-food items (such as clothing and shoes). There is a cafe upstairs although I have never been into it!

It is always busy so be prepared to queue at the checkouts! There are a few self-service ones, which does help to reduce queuing time somewhat, although people always seem to have problems with using them!

This is the smaller of the 2 Tesco Branches in Stevenage, situated on the outskirts as you approach Knebworth. It is a much nicer place to shop that the big Stevenage Tesco inspite of being smaller and therefore stocking a more limited range of products. It is less busy than the bigger Tesco, and you tend to be served faster at the checkout. They have a good in store bakery, which is quite large considering the size of the supermarket. I never have problems finding a car parking space, they offer a wide range of Trolleys, and there is even a children’s ride outside the shop.

One of the best things about this store is that they are open 12-5 on a Sunday, giving you an extra hours opening time after other stores tend to close.

This store is very large.
It sells everything you could need. Clothes, electrical items, DVD’s, games, mobiles etc. down to all your food needs.
It has a large car park and petrol garage.
Quite often they have a 5p of pre litre of petrol if you spend over £50 in Tesco. With the prices of petrol at the moment quite high, this is very useful.
The self service Checkouts are easy to use, and staff are on hand to help if needed.
All in all you can get everything you need all under one roof.

Great big supermarket in Stevenage. Staff here are extremely helpful and friendly. More than once a staff member has stopped what they are doing and spent a long time helping me.

They sell everything here, from food to clothes, CD’s, DVD’s, electricals. All under one roof! Great prices too. I love the reduced shelves!

THis is my local Tescos and is open 24 hours so I can often be found in here at strange times of the night. The range of items is staggering. A word of warning, at busy times it is a nightmare to get out of the carpark. They recently introduced barriers to the carpark, to discourage people from parking there and going elsewhere. However, the barriers are very rarely down. This store is on the edge of the town centre, so ideal for a longer shopping trip.

Tescos is a beautiful store and i visit it every week. They stock a wide range of clothes, food, drinks, cds, video games etc…. They even have their own petrol station.

Their prices are great and affordable. They cut back their prices every week.

They have their own self service machine where you can scan your items yourself if you have a few items. Its a great system for those who are in a hurry to get somewhere.
Its easy to use and fun to try.

Its fantastic because its open 24hours so whenever you need something you can just go there and pick it up.

The staff are extremely helpful and will always be ready to help.

I do love Tescos and use the one at Faraday Retail Park in Coatbridge!

Unlike Bluesofty’s parking experience (ha, ha!) the car park is in front of the store, which is all you see of it when you enter the retail park thank goodness!!! My problem is always (and wherever I am) not being able to find my car when I finish shopping! Not funny when it’s a freezing winter’s night and one is having a “youthful incontinence” moment!!!!!

The selection of fresh fruit and veg, fish and meat (everything really) in Tescos is brilliant and it is very hard to drag me away from the chocolate aisle! I am a “Cadburys Dairty Milkaholic” and it has to be the largest possible bar available! I get severe withdrawal symptoms when I detox ocassionally due to the jeans waiste tightening feeling!!! When going through one of these periods I linger for many minutes at a time just looking at the chocolate on the shelf and willing myself not to put any in my trolley!!! A couple of weeks of this and the cravings disappear!

I can spend hours in Tesco just looking, wishing to buy and thinking can I or can I not afford (clothes, books, shoes, bags, electrical goods, toys, games, kitchen ware, paint, DIY, the lot)! You name it Tesco has it!

It’s clean and staff are helpful plus usually share a joke with you, which always makes a day feel even better!

I also have 2 lovely large cloth green bags but unfortunately I keep leaving them at home or, when I put them in the boot of my car I forget to take them out before going into the store! Is this an age things I wonder! Probably more honest to say I’ve always been a bit of an eejit!!!

I do love you Tesco! Thumbs up!

Now here’s an interesting fact that I found on the Net:

Many decades ago, a grocer called Cohen decided to offer his own brand of tea in his shops. He commissioned a tea merchant called T E Stockwell to make a blend, to be called “Tesco Tea” after their names. Only later did it become the name for the whole company.

Imagine! That could save you having to phone a friend when on “Millionaire”, earn you a pint during a pub quiz night, or even get that toerag Paxman to come out with his supercilious “Well done! Was that a guess?”, as is his wont on Uni Challenge. ;-))

This place is massive, and I do mean massive as in gigantic!
The car park is the size of good park, and the signing is bewildering. My first time there, so give me a break, hey…

I only wanted petrol (well chocolate too) and had been told it was 'right around the back’. Ok, I understnd that instruction. But it evaporates when, as a newcomer, you enter the entrance of the car park. Where the heck is the back? I’d missed the sign of course, so I tootled round and about, and saw a chap in a reflector jacket, I asked him the way. He made sense, was insructive and clear, until I got to the corner he told me about.

Hmmm, what’s the worst that could happen? I kept going and finally actually saw a sign, just as I clocked the petrol station.

The staff were very friendly indeed, and amused at the quantity of chocolate I bought. Alas, I still need to sponge my skirt as most of it melted on my lap….
