It really makes a change to find an exciting new chinese restaurant in London. This is the first time we have tried Hunan cuisine & we were very impressed. There is plenty for the vegitarian and pescatarian as well as the carnivore, the menu has a fantastic variety and I can see us going back again & again to work our way through it. The highlights were; spiced fungus,
stewed pork belly with preserved vegetables, dry wok squid & seabass with ginger – all excellent. Great service too.

me and my boyfriend recently visited the resturant and we were thoroughly impressed ! The food was brilliant we order the pork cooked twice which was our definate favourite, it was cooked to perfection and we were truly impressed. I would definately reccomend it to everyone as the menu appears to cater for all.
One small criticism was that the walls were quite bare, and would have looked more interesting with a few pictures up, however it’s quite a new resturant so I am sure the lack decoration will be sorted out in time.
really really impressed with it.

Finally Angel has a decent Chinese restaurant.
The menu was more Hunanese than anything else with a pleasing range of dishes from nicely done common dishes (such as Kung Po Chicken) to more obscure (man-and-wife offal) all of which was decent, flavoursome and much, much more than generic “Chinese” of Young’s, etc.
They were still playing the Italian music from the restaurant’s previous owners but we were too busy concentrating on the food to notice. The bill was under £20 per person too which made it surprisingly cheap.
