Today I had my hair permanently straightened by Fozia at Stak hair studio. I am thrilled by the result. My hair is ultra glossy and smooth. Just amazed. Fozia is the best hairdresser I've been to. She is a true artist - committed, creative and so dilligent. Her attention to detail is magnificent. She cares about her clients and their expectations. She more than delivers a high quality service.

I have been Stak hair studio for nearly two years now. Salon is amazing, l have had great experience each time and it gets better and better. They always get my colour right and are very professional. The new Kebelo keratine treatment is amazing and i got after care pack too. I have been to many salon but their treatments are not as good as Stak hair studio. I definitely recommand it, worthy of five stars. Thanks Stak hair studio team for constantly looking after my hair.

One of the best Salons in Birmingham at the moment. I really enjoyed my experience at Stak Hair studio. My haircut was brilliant and i travel from Leicester to get my Haircut. Excellent price and friendly staff.
They gave me excellent after care advice to maintain my hairstyle and Moroccon oil has worked out really good for my scalp. Highly recommended.

I had never been to stak hair before I have always been scared of hair salons but from the moment I walked through the door I felt very comftable being greeted having my coat taken and had been offered a drink within minutes. They did my hair excactly how u wanted it and the advice they gave me in maintaining my hair really helped me. I have sinced booked back in for my next 6 week appointment. Very pleased thankyou girls.

I've been a loyal customer but everytime I've had to wait & wait & wait. Enough was enough this week. I arrived on time, a customer was being attended to. 15 minutes after my appointment time she was finished but there was already another client in the salon area waiting after a shampoo. At half an hour late someone was asked to come to reception & ask us (there was another lady in reception as well) if we wanted a drink. Knowing this meant more waiting I said to the other lady that I just wanted a hair cut at which point she told me she had already been waiting an hour. the assistant came over & I told her enough was enough & that I always have to wait too long & was fed up with it & that this day I didn't have the time to do this. I asked for a call to tell me what time I could come back on the same day or on the next when I wouldn't have to wait. No one has phoned or come to see me. I could go on.. but shant. Shame.

I bought a voucher through groupon for a colour and restyle, trying to make a booking was impossible..
The small print says you can only book between 9.30 and 5.30 tue to thurs, fine I thought as I get Thursdays off every other week. I was told over the phone that now they were only taking morning bookings and if I wanted to book 2 weeks in advance I would have to take a deposit before hand to even get the booking as they had had no shows. I'm sorry but this is completely rediculous, they are trying to drum up new business and make it nearly impossible to make a booking!!
I have since contacted groupon and cancelled for a refund, complete waste of time..

My third visit here today. First visit was with a voucher a year ago. Once again, received warm welcome, colour cut style and finish done to my expectations. I now have found my new hairdresser who understands my skin type and hair needs. Was struggling for several years in finding a hairdresser who is not interested in selling expensive products and bad styles for money but wants to secure my custom for years to come. Have visited Stak on three occasions each time hoping that the service I received would improve. Unfortunately this wasn't to be and I won't be going back. The main problem with this salon is time management. I can see very easily (after reading previous reviews) why customers have to wait so long for their appointment to begin. After having the first appointment of the day at 9:30 I was sat waiting for 40 mins before my colour was even started. I was sat clock watching whilst much chatting was going on in the backroom. No apology or explanation was given. On each visit I have been kept waiting for what appears to be no reason. In all salons a stylist usually sees to another client during the cut and colour process - I have no problem with this - but on one visit I waited for over an hour after my colour had been washed off before the cut was started. Being left at the basin on the reclining chairs for 30 mins plus is extremely uncomfortable and I could see that other clients felt the same as me. During my visits the manageress often referred to clients that had complained about delays etc. The way that these clients were spoken about left me feeling uncomfortable and uneasy about making such a complaint myself. A shame as the colour and cut was pretty decent but the atmosphere and delays I have experienced (my last visit was just under 4 hours when in all other salons it is well under 2 hours) mean that I will not be returning. I was also given conflicting information about prices having been told by the business manager that I could use the ongoing offers advertised on the website until Jan next year, I was charged the rate for foil and full head colour rather than the fee quoted for existing clients having just roots done. I did try to question this but got nowhere. Sorry to say but very unprofessional.

What a find!! I bought a KGB voucher for my daughter to have highlights & Fozia was excellent! My daughter had used over the counter colours on her hair & it was awful!! Fozia was so helpful & advised of the best way to get it looking good. By the time we left I was so impressed I booked myself in for a cut & colour the following week & again Fozia was excellent, she did exactly what I asked for & I'm delighted!! I will return to this salon time & time again, it's rare to find a hairdresser that actually does what you ask for!! Thank you Fozia, see you again soon!

I thought I would give this place the benefit of the doubt as I hadnt heard very good things about it but the location was really covienient for me - I have just moved to the area and needed somewhere quick. From the minute I walked through the door to the minute I hurridly, left the experience was awful. I could of coped with the No atmosphere what so ever and the rude staff if my hair had looked amazing but it didnt - although the colour was ok (not amazing) the cut was messy and uneven and she didnt do what I had asked for - it felt like she had done whatever was quickest as it was blatently obvious that I was an inconvienience. Was left very very dissapointed and will not be going back and I certainly wont be recommending them to anyone - if anything I will teLL peple to AVOID!!!!!

Not just a hair cut and colour - a work of art! I tried a number of hair studios in the West Midlands in the search of someone who could give my hair the 'wow' factor. After disappointment, after disappointment I came across Stak Hair Studio with Fozia and her merry band! I keep on going back and each time I leave, I am thrilled with the results. I do not give praise lightly, and to Stak I give the highest praise. I am looking forward to the compliments tomorrow........might even 'pull a new fella'!! xxx

Best hair cut I have ever had in my whole life, actually went out happy and smiling. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming made me feel right at home. After a short consultation i was seated and chatting to one of the hair stylists who was soo nice was surprised how nice everyone was and seemed like they actually liked working there. After my hair done i continued to have a chat with the manager who was lovely and i then made another appointment. No second thoughts about returning it would be a definite yes five star salon because i got a five star treatment.

Absolutely disgusting. Bought a voucher of Wowcher for my mom. She went in and everything seemed fine, she had her consultation, decided on colours etc. It wasnt until the colour was half on that my mom noticed it seemed very dark so she asked if it was correct - it wasnt they had put the wrong colour on the base and was told that it was too late to do anything. She was then meant to have blonde highlights put through - they did this but you couldnt even tell because they had messed the first colour up - when she questioned it a different stylist told her that if she had done the consultation she would of done it a completely different way. The result was instead of blonde she ended up looking ginger. When she complained that she wasnt happy she was told that she would have to pay for them to correct even though they had messed up. The stylists are rude and in the whole 3 hours my mom wasthere they had 1 customer. I paid £30 for the voucher then had to pay another £50 for my hairdressers to put it right. Wouldnt recommend to anyon - disgusting!!

I have been having my hair coloured for years & have been to many professional salons & I thought I would give this place a try. Nice from the outside, nice inside, staff friendly & to be honest my hair looked great when they had finished. The MAJOR & most disappointing downfall is the time management with this salon. It's appalling. Even when you have a booked appointment time you are left waiting for up to an hour before you get called into a chair. You are left for long periods of time just sat waiting between processes. There are absolutely no apologies for this whatsoever which is disgusting. I have sat in there & watched people sit there for nearly 2 hours between colouring & blow drying!! The appointment system clearly dosent exist & the fact this salon thinks it can treat customers like this is awful. People want to be able to walk in & get started on straight away, a ten minutes wait isn't too bad but up to an hour you can be sat there waiting with no offer of apology. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. No courtesy & no appointment system at all. Staff don't know how to multi task between clients & can't keep on top of the workload they have. Will never be going back unless there is some real change in the booking system & until I know I will get seen on time which just dosent happen. Seems they have no idea about customer relations whatsoever & eventually if this keeps happening to clients they will loose all business totally as I don't know anyone that wants to be sat left waiting an hour past their appointment time, offered no apology except to blame other factors which really isn't the clients fault at all, it's the salons. You seriously need to rethink how you are treating customers leaving them waiting round which in today's salon expectations isn't acceptable. Other salons manage to deal with clients appropriately & in a timely manner & that's how try keep business!

Used a wowcher voucher for a cut and colour. I was 10 minutes late as it was really hard to find and they made me wait at least 40 minutes as they had started on another customer. This salon is really poorly organised with customers sitting waiting at various points in their treatment. I sat for an hour with wet hair, freezing cold and another lady came in and waited for an hour until she did not have time for her colour appointment. This is a shame because my hair looked great; I just like my experience of going to the hairdressers to be a treat rather than an endurance test.
