A friend and I had lunch here today. The food was excellent and so filling that I did not need dinner! The atmosphere is friendly and professional. The service was top class. We will be coming back for more, especially as it was such good value as well for food of this quality.

excellent food and a really great style inside. The childrens food is generous and they do their best to accomodate.
The range of food is very good for fish eaters and meat eaters. proper vegitarians are catered for too.
The hosts make an effort to make you feel wlecome too.

Very nice food, lovely service, good prices. My partner and I are American and the server asked whether the portions were large enough for us! (They were.) We'll definitely be going back while we're in town.

This place serves without a doubt the best steak at the best price in London. Cooked to perfection, great size portion with fantastic chips and garlic mayo. Could not recommend them enough! After our first visit the chef came out and asked us for our opinion on the meal! The decor is modern and comfortable and on Saturdays they have a guy playing Brazilian Bossa Nova to add to the ambiance. Friendly staff, always smiling. Will be going back again and again. Thank you for bringing a touch of class to the neighborhood!

I was at the banc on Monday evening and was impressed with the whole package. I ate Calamari which was cooked to perfection and ordered a recommended lamb shish which was sold to me upon knowing that the meat was up to 3 weeks matured. Meat was without a shadow of a doubt the most tender, succulent and fresh that I have tasted in a long time. Service was top notch and will definetly go back. Looking forward to New menu and wine list mentioned to me by the owners. Keep up the great work, this place truly is a diamond in a rough and I hope it gets the support and success it deserves.

In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king….but, even so, you can imagine that he’d have to do quite a bit of fetching/finding unless they had lots of trained dogs/monkeys/robots. And so, in the hinterland that is Tottenham, Banc is head and shoulders above it’s closest rivals but, as they consist of pfc/hfc/qfc/pwcfc/et al, it’s slightly faint praise. Now I’ve been spoilt living around Green Lanes and Stoke Newington High St for years where, for the most part, the Turkish restaurants do simple food brilliantly. And Banc started off well – the sucuk starter came with delicious pickled red pepper and fresh bread. Then I was asked how I wanted my lamb chops cooked. This took me by surprise as I’m used to them being perfectly cooked and then handed to me. But I played along and went with "medium" to see what their interpretation of that was. Unusually, they decided that it should be the mean of all the meat cooked, therefore I had chops that went from rare to well-done on the same plate. Again, I’m used to the accompanying salad being a kaleidoscope of colours – red tomatoes, black olives, green cucumbers, purple onions, white radish, all fresh and zinging with flavour. Their salad consisted of mostly brown and some green leaves, as if someone was preparing the plate to go on a training weekend with the TA. Luckily, I persevered with the dessert – a delicious waffle, that is the house speciality, with very good ice cream and perfect chocolate sauce. All the while, the service was excellent, with the owner chap being quite obviously rushed off his feet but still getting everything done and making sure everyone was happy, or at least being asked if they were happy. Banc will get a second, and probably third, chance in the hope that the mains will one day match the starters/service/waffles….

We are a new business with a young management and we value customer feedback immensly and use it as a tool to improve our business. We ask our customers how they like their red meat cooked in order to make their experience better altough this is more work for the kitchen, we take on this challenge because rather then serving what we want, we try and serve what the customer wants and I can assure you we normally serve the meat perfectly cook and I apolagise this was not delivered in your case. In regards to you salad, i can assure you we do not serve anything that is not fresh, our salads are seasonal and we choose to go with green salad in the summer as is easier to eat and lighter. The brown lettuce you refer to are rose lettuce and we specially ask our supplier to
    bring that in for us. We hope you will give us the opportunity to earn your custom again in order for us to make sure you leave The Banc with full of satisfaction.

Me and the family went to The Banc , and we were plesantly suprised by the food and service.
The restaurant has a nice modern feel, and the two young owners are friendly and kind. They were apologetic about the card reader being out of service and reimbursed the withdrawal fee from the cashmachine across the road which was nice.
We got a meze platter which was fresh and tasty and for mains I got a steak which was lovely and the rest got kebabs. Our only critism was that the food was served luke warm. All of ours could have been hotter but we didnt say nothing... sometimes you just feel bad. Neverless the food was very nice and presented well.
We did however explain to the owner that it was lovely but could have been warmer which he was very apologetic about and gave a £5.00 discount off the bill. We also had a very tasty waffle to share which he also didnt charge for which was nice of him.
We will def be returning and even thinking of doing my bday meal of a party of 30! Def recommend it.

Extremely happy with the service provided here. The first time I walked in, I was amazed with the decor of this place, you'd never think it was in Tottenham! ;) The staff and owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. I've been here a few times and the food has always been so well-presented and always cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this place whether you're after a casual, relaxed lunch or a lovely meal in the evening.

My girlfriend and I went to The Banc on Tuesday night having been told by friends it was good. They had not done it justice as both the food and the friendly atmosphere created by the owners were both fantastic. We had the Banc Special which was a large selection of grilled meat, the lamb in particular was delicious. The salad was also outstanding and much better than I have ever had in any other Turkish restaurant, if I had to find a complaint it was that it could have done with a bit more salad. We were talked into trying a waffle for desert and very pleased that we did = what a signature dish. We will be back soon. Outstanding value.

Great place on West Green Road, stylishly decorated and clean. Service was attentive and friendly, and the two guys that run the place were incredibly friendly. A large portion of chicken wings arrived as a starter, followed by meatballs as a main - both large generous servings. Didn't have room for dessert I'm afraid, even though we were offered a free waffle! Will definitely be back.

It was really nice to find this new neighbourhood restaurant and bar. The mediterranean food is fresh, well cooked and attractively presented, and the owners/staff are charming without being intrusive. And it is very reasonably priced. When we were in there was a mix of customer – families, couples and trendy young people. I think we will be regulars!

I’ve been to the Banc on several occassions now and have been impressed with the food on all occassions. The lamb chops are very well cooked and go well with the cheesy mash. The place in chilled and its not usual for managers to always be in the hall welcoming guest and talking through food choices. very imporessed indeed. i am already planning my next visit.

Today I wanted to enjoy a quality Turkish Dish at a quality establishment. After spending a few minutes on Qype, we (myself & the mrs) decided to visit The Banc. Upon arriving, I was absolutely amazed at the decoration and lighting effect. I actually whispered to my wife and asked if we were in Covent Garden! Setting, atmosphere and ambience was accommodating and relaxing with beautiful Arabic music playing in the back ground. Upon being seated we were greeted by the owners who gave us a very warm welcome with a nice introduction of both themselves and the history of the establishment. Then the waiter brought the menu and I was amazed at the range of dishes available. Coming in initially for a Turkish dish, I decided to try a 1/2 chicken with creamy mash whilst the Mrs had a Classic Beef Burger which was home made and with hand cut fresh chips. The food presentation was astonishing with the burger being brought on a wooden tray/board which was fascinating and original. On top of that, complementary olives, warm fresh bread and seasoned mix peppers as starters was really pleasant. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the mash potato was one of the best I have tried. Service was spot on, plates and cutlery changed accordingly, waiter asked if we were fine without suffocating us. Upon finishing the meal, the owners gave us a tour of the place and we were escorted to the lounge where we were seated and two fresh home made waffles were given to us from the owners. Absolutely 1st class service, great venue, great ethos and amazing atmosphere. I must also state that the toilets were clean and spotless. I will be returning to The Banc and most definitely recommend to anyone looking to dine out in a new and modern restaurant. 5* and a great addition to the Tottenham area.

Had a delicious meal here. I had the spicy chicken and my husband had a huge steak. We also had some waffles for dessert (totally ruining my healthy January but it was worth it). It was great value for money and the service was really friendly. We will be back soon!

Just enjoyed a massive t-bone steak again. I love the food here. Nice atmosphere too. The music selection is a bit crazy but the food is good. Also when I tell them about an issue they always seem to fix it, they seem to be onboard. Will come again. I should get a discount for my review, guys if you read this…maybe a free waffle :P
