Best meal in Croatia!
My fearless travel companion and I were wandering around the city, and suddenly the rain started pouring. We hid under the umbrellas at Panino expecting to wait out the rain, but were lured in by the enticing menu… As the weather outside raged, we had the single best meal of our entire 10-day stay in the country.
The food was AMAZING! There is really little more to say. My mouth still waters when I think about it! We had the steak, and the seared tuna - both were UNBELIEVABLE! The tuna was perfectly seared, so it was just the right texture on the inside! I haven’t had fish this good since SF!
Cultural note: in Croatia, a “tomato salad” is a bowl full of frsh chopped tomamoes, a “cucmber salad” is a bowl of copped cucumber, etc. The vegetables come unseasoned, but come with salp, pepper, oil and balsamic vinegar. We shamelessly ordered a bunch of “salads” and mixed all the vegetables.
