Much as I like Salford RLFC this ground is well past it's sell by date and the new ground at Barton will be welcomed by everyone.

I lived around the corner from here in Kennedy Road quite a few years back, and from what i here it hasn’t changed - yet. It is good to hear about the new development work and i wish the club all the best. I had many a fun sunday afternoon in here, smoking in the terraces whilst being entertained by a variety of fireworks, music and, of course, the local cherleaders

The people in the ground were good honest locals enjoying their Rugby, normally with a pie or a pint in hand. At the time i was a snotty nosed student and stood out like a sore-thumb, but i never felt unwelcome and also reguarly drank in the ground bar.

Aanother Rugby League ground that will soon be demolished to make way for a new state of the art stadium.
Home to the newly crowned NL1 Champions and Superleague franchisees, The Salford City Reds, this place is well worth a visit before the bulldozers move in.
