nice restaurant and bar in salzburg’s old town. usually very crowded. serves local austrian specialties, heavy stuff but yummy. staff are a bit too busy to be really friendly but the service is ok. the place has several larger and smaller rooms, some of which are for non-smokers. with the door shut air inside gets really stuff and bad, so getting a seat outdoors would be an advantage :)

This place is absolutely amazing, not far from the Yoho Hostel we were staying at. I only knew about it from my salzburg guide, but I found it and fell in love. Going in, you encounter an old fashioned pub, very beautiful, very old, where you can buy a huge range of specially brewed Weisse beer, changing with the seasons.
There are little rooms filled with beer memorabilia that lead to an enormous modern nightclub that sells the same beer. It is the best night out you can have, at competitive prices. We have nothing anywhere near as good as this in our country, because we are idiots. And don’t forget the free cheeky postcards!! Macht spass im mund!
