Thank you La Ruche! They did our wedding cake at short notice and we had many compliments from our guests!
Wish I could add a photo here for you.
A friendly, authentic French bakery. Birthday cakes excellent and reasonably priced and the little spicy pizza they do from time to time is delicious. I agree with the previous reviewer that their croissants are easily the best in (Harringay) town.
Vive La Ruche!
This is a cute little bakery selling patisserie, cakes, and bread. As you can guess from the name, they're French-inspired, and sell arguably the best croissants on Grand Parade.
Shopping at La Ruche is a far less intense and busy experience than shopping in Yasar Halim's, so if you are not a person who enjoys bustling crowds, this might be a good alternative.
"La Ruche" literally means "the beehive". There was a famous house in Paris with the same name.
Although the wedding cakes displayed in the window aren't as dramatic as those in the (now sadly defunct) Halepi bakery's window, they are still very attractive (and, in some cases architectural).
The staff have always been very friendly when I've been in, and prices, as usual in Harringay, are very reasonable.
