I wanted to purchase a gift voucher for my friend, for a manicure and pedicure. I checked the prices online and the price list on the salon window as well before going to the shop to buy. After asking the receptionist for a voucher, she said the price would be such and such - about 25% more than what I thought would be. I explained that I wanted to purchase a basic mani and pedi package, however she insisted i would have to pay the higher price. I left without buying anything. Later i checked online again and realised she pushed me to buy deluxe mani and pedi when i have clearly asked for a basic one. I think this was very unprofessional and will not be going back there for anything.

Review of Dimples Beauty & Spa from 22 October 2012
I went to Dimples on 22/10/12 for a 'blackhead removal' £15 service. I was extremely dissapointed with the treatment given. The therapist failed to remove any blackheads and my skin looked the exact same as when I walked in! no difference to skin whatsoever. The cleansers used were cheap Skintruth products, which you can find at Sallys. The cleansing methods used were incorrect. For example the rubbing of eyes.. any facialist will tell you the eye area is far too delicate to do that and you should only press. I also didn't like the way they used cheap sponges and found everything used very amateur in comparison to facials I have recieved elsewhere. This treatment (and that's a longstretch, as it doesn't treat anything) was cleansing (at least 3 times) and a few prods with a blackhead removal stick with a steam on. There is no way my skin looked any better or different and i was mislead from the booklet, which claims its a blackhead removal service, when no blackheads were removed. If it was called a cleansing service, fair enough, but the purpose of this facial is to remove blackheads!
I complained and the receptionist was extremely rude towards me and did not take anything I said into consideration! I explained to the therapist I was not satisfied with the 'results' and so would not be paying, walked out and got accused of 'doing a runner' and not having any money. I proceeded to show them a wad of notes proving that i did!! I explained that I had already had a discussion with this with the facialist before she walked out of the treatment room to go downstairs and thread someone else (without listening to my concerns, and telling the reception stuff competely different information to what I had said). There were no results from this 'treatment' and there was no way I was paying full price, The receptionist refused to let me have it checked and didn't seem concerned in the slightest about what I had to say or the condition my skin was in; just getting the money from me. I paid half price in the end and am even angry at having to pay that much for something which hasn't done one thing! I was told i wouldn't be allowed back but there is no way I would want to anyway!
I advise you not to have any skin treatments here as there are no visible results not to mention the poor service. The salon rooms looked unkempt and this was not a relaxing treatment or a results driven treatment, just a waste of time. If you are looking for a professional facial i recommend you look elsewhere. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any salon.
