The Old Post Office Pub

First visit to this pub as it wasn’t one of my choices back in the 60’s and 70’s. Only went there today as the queue for coffee at M+S was more than half an hour!
A lovely little pub with wonderful staff and super value meals. Always worth asking about the daily specials as they are really good. The service was friendly and efficient for such a small pub in the city centre.
My main problem with it was that I wasn’t able to enjoy a beer. The choices were OK for those who drink fizzy keg beers, but no real ale at all. The coffee was as good as any pub’s is.

Get's crowded very quickly which is expected for a city centre pub that's small.
Loos aren't spectacular and a bottle of wine is expensive.

This wouldn’t normally be my sort of pub,certainly not for a night out but the food is so 'Value for money’. Please don’t get me wrong they serve good beer and have friendly staff but if it’s good food at reasonable prices then that is what they do best. The mixed grill is wonderful and everything is cooked to order, I’m sure that they will look after Veggies just as well so have a visit you may even return just like I keep doing.
