Lived in Balham for 6 years and always used to go to the same nail bars on Balham high road - that is until i discovered beauties! It is run by two lovely sisters who go out of their way to make the experience a relaxing and enjoyable pamper session. My shellac nails are always done beautifully and the shop is kept super clean and details like washing your hands and having fresh clean flannels to dry your hands that make such a difference! I even get offered a cup of tea or coffee...i will not be going anywhere else from now on!

The team at Beauties are briliant.  I am always made to feel welcome with a good coffee.  The salon is impeccably clean and does not have that nasty salon toxic smell.  The staff are excellent; my nails have never looked better.  I cannot recommend this salon highly enough.

Worst place I've ever been. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for! Go anywhere else if you want your nails to actually look good.

I have tried many nail shops in balham and clapham common areas. However, for me Beauties spa is the best shop that i have been to. Every time i go there, my nails are always perfect. I am very satisfied with the service. The shop is very clean and tidy unlike others with that strong smell. You never have to wait for too long with or without an appointment. Lisa-the manager is extremely nice. All the girls are friendly and produce good quality. I also get offered a drink in here. My friend and I got red wine, which was absolutely nice. In my opinion, this shop really cares about their customers needs and puts in all their effort, it clearly shows in their nails. I will not go anywhere else. Highly recommend !!!!

I've been here once before for a pedicure and it was fine. It wasn't great, but it was better than many I've had. So, I booked again for both a manicure and pedicure. Once again, the pedicure was okay and considering the price is lower than many other salons, I can't complain about that.

However, when they started the manicure things quickly got worse. I have quite long nails as they grow fast, but all I was wanting was short, rounded nails with clear polish as I don't really like having any colour on my nails. This seemed simple enough. The girl worked for about 20 minutes on cutting and filing, and it just got worse and worse. I ended up with some nails so short there were no tips left and others were still quite long. They were uneven and jagged in places. Yet the girl doing them insisted they were fine and that she would paint them like that. I was upset by this point and just said I'd like to end the manicure. I was especially shocked when they charged me full price for a manicure that wasn't even halfway finished! I expressed my displeasure with this, and they offered me £5 off my next manicure. Obviously, I won't be going back for that because £5 off doesn't mean much when I'll still have had to pay for 2 manicures and not even had the first one finished. One of the ladies (the manager, I think) was nice and did offer for me to come back on another day for it to be corrected, but as I was getting this done for a holiday, there wouldn't be a time for me to come back and have it corrected before that. This lady also admitted that my nails looked horrible. If they had not charged full price for a job that wasn't even really done at all, I might have given them another chance. I won't be taking my chances again, though, considering you still have to pay for very poor work you're not at all happy with.

This is a brilliant salon. I have tried the lot in balham and there are quite a few nail salons. At Beauties you get treated like a human not a production line get them in and out quick. Manicures and pedicures are brilliant and last for weeks. Can't recommend enough. And all the girls are lovely

I am nail obsessed and have been getting my nails done for over 15 years. I may not know how to do them myself, but I do know when I go to somewhere and the technicians actually know what they're talking about and what they're doing. Over the years it's become more difficult to find a nail salon where 'nail care' even exists anymore. I am so glad for Beauties and will continue to support them, they really deserve to do well for being so top notch. It's a great salon and always so clean! I have recommended family and friends, some of them now visit more than I do.

If you want a perfect set of nails go and see Tracey at Beauties Spa!  I love this place, they are so friendly and the environment is relaxing and welcoming and you even get offered tea!  By far the best place in Balham for nails.  They really manage the flow of customers, something other nail salons get so wrong where an appointment seems to mean nothing.  I strongly recommend Beauties - once you've tried it you won't bother going anywhere else.    I agree with the previous review, the polish lasts ages and is perfectly applied.  10 out of 10!

I have tried many places for my nails but this is the best value for money and my nail polish always lasts for weeks when I get them done here.  The technicians are very friendly and make you feel welcome.  I won't go anywhere else and drive to Balham from Banstead in Surrey!
