I visited images with a Groupon voucher for a Shellac manicure. Unfortunately the products used were not Shellac as advertised but an imitation brand. I do not believe the salon should be claiming to give you a Shellac manicure when they are in-fact using, inferior products. The base & topcoat used were a brand I had never heard of and were a diffrent brand from the non-shellac colour polish used)

Unfortunately the brand used was nowhere near as good as Shellac - the nail polish had been smudged before I'd even left the salon (though this could be due to the nail technician not leaving my nails to dry for long enough) and a week later my "Two week manicure" was peeling and had chipped on pretty much every nail. I have had several genuine Shellac manicures before and have never encountered these problems - it always stays perfect for at least two weeks)

Overall I am very dissapointed in both Images & Groupon as I feel they have falsely advertised the service.

I bought a KGB voucher for a shellac mani pedi in 2012 for images and at first I felt a bit reluctant to walk through the front door (it was really busy and I had a voucher).
I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and picked the colour I wanted.

The salon looks very clean and there are music videos running on the super big plasma tv. I felt very at ease and comfortable whilst getting my nails done. It took 1 hour 45minutes to finish my treatment so I had a had a long chat friendly with the therapist.

This salon has been up and running since 1997 and I remember my mother bring me to this place. Very nice, modern and clean.
Most nail salons in london are extremely dirty with rude staff. This salon is my favorite.

Having developed an addiction to acrylics’ classier cousin, the UV nail, last summer, I stopped by Images one evening as trekking up to my usual haunt in Barbican was too much of a slog.

Images’ staff were much friendlier than my usual place, and the place was clean, relaxing and welcoming. Sadly the nails weren’t much cop. I wasn’t given quite long enough to dry them, which meant one nail had a very slight smudge – yes, I am that person who fixates on the smudge nobody else can probably see – and within a week they had started to come away from the nail bed at the sides, leaving those horrible fake-looking blemishes that are the reason you’ve avoided acrylics. I’ve given up my UVs for the winter, but I won’t be visiting Images again should I try them again.
