great theme park, great rides and a great day out, well worth the money!

“Terra Mitica”/”The Mythical Earth” is a Large Theme Park built on the Hills around Benidorm. The best way to do this one is to take a Local Bus to the Park & purchase your Ticket at the Kiosks. You can also buy a Ticket, for the following day, at Half Price, as you might not cover everything & want to return.

The Park features Fairground Rides and Themed Shows from Egypt, Greece, Iberia, Rome & The Islands.

Reasonably price waterproof capes are on sale in the Shop as these are suggested 1) To keep the Suns Rays from burning you; it is extremely intense up there 2) To prevent you from getting soaked on the Water Rides, believe it or not !!!

You can sail down The River Nile, in miniature. Watch a Roman Battle. See the Glory of Greece + The Greeks. Island Hop.

If you are brave enough you may wish to take a trip on the “COLOSSUS” a ricketty version of “The Big One” in Blackpool, only more frightening. When you Board this you are instructed to put Bags, Handbags, Spectacles, Money & anything you have in your pockets into a Locker. I discovered, having missed something in a pocket, that the force of this piece of machinery, can empty any pocket - same as the wife !!!! Photographs are taken automatically on the way round on this to let you see how much your face & body have contorted while you were on the move. Not for the faint-hearted.

When you exit this you may wish to go for a meal. When you see the price for food you may feel even worse than you did when you were on the Ride.

All in all a good day out. Value for money.

Terra Mitica has to be the best theme park in Europe bar none.
The park itself is split into five sections; Greece, Egypt, Iberia, Islands and Rome. Each section has its own themes rides and attractions.

The park does have rides for all age groups but I would advise against taking very young childeren as it is a long day and during peak season getting some shade can me quite a task.

I find the food to be overpriced but just about edible. Picking up a packedlunch from the indoor market on the way would be better. I would also advise you do not buyyour tickets via your travel agent as the bars in and around benidorm have the better deals.

This place is a huge theam park,it has different sections such as an ancient Greece area a roman area and a Mediterranean Islands.There are rides for people of all ages
It is open till quite late and we always come in the evening,its much more pleasant as the weather is a lot cooler at this time,iv been once in the day and it was just to hot,another benifit going later on is you dont tend to have to que for aslong.I would take your own food though as the food there is really expensive and not very nice either
