Historically part of Surrey, Barnes appeared in the Doomsday book of 1086 listing its assets as “8 hides, 5 ploughs and 20 acres of Meadow” worth in total £7
As I’m sure you agree… we have come a bit further than that today. With the completion of the second Hammersmith Bridge in June 1887 (the first one couldn’t take the weight of the supporters of the University Boat Race) we are now able to gain access to the best products London has on offer. show less

I went here recently for a big family lunch. There were 6 of us and it was quite busy but the staff were really friendly and helpful especially when we were all confused about what to eat because everything looked so great. After changing my mind a hundred times I decided to have the venison and my partner went for the fish and chips and I immediatley had food envy because they were so so good! The rest of the meal was 5 star and a word to the wise on dessert....go for the cheesecake!!!
