Having walked past this place any number of times over the last two, three years, I finally ventured in today - and discovered what everyone else seems to already know. Good value, light and reasonably healthy grub.
The Falafel with spiced aubergine and broad beans and stuff was a very good, post-workout lunch: crisp flatbread carbs and enough wholesome innards to make me feel smug. Good to see broad beans involved in some fast food.
Personally, I’d still say Edgware Road can edge 'em in terms of all round flavour - until we asked for more chilli sauce, the promised spicing was very low key - while the stall at Borough probably just beats them too. But for a decent sub-£5 Soho lunch? I’ll be back.
The do falafel right here. That is the first thing to note, if you’re named after an ingredient, you have to make it special!
They do a great job of offering variants, none of that fries and fat sides, just great healthy ingredients. The flatbread element is a great touch, allowing you to pack in more of the great salad accompaniments. Also I’m a chili hound, so I love that you can keep grabbing handfuls of the green guys from the side with your free water and dips.
Long wooden beaches and smiling staff too. Nice touch guys .
Absolutely delicious falafels, a real lunchtime treat. Luckily they’re not stingey so you get your wrap stuffed full of salad and homous. Pricey, but that’s par for the course in this area. The coffee’s very good as well, but I wouldn’t recommend sitting at the tables outside the cafe, I can’t imagine it’s particularly relaxing.
Having a vegetarian girlfriend can be a right pain at times. So I almost passed out with joy when I stumbled upon Just Falafs. Not only is it vegetarian, it’s also organic too, so you get even more feel-good-factor brownie points.
Falafels are prepared and heated freshly in front of your very eyes and you can treat yourself to a selection of freshly made smoothies and juices.
The interior is wood based, homely and best of all, even when busy, the atmosphere is relaxed. You may well have to wait for a seat at the busiest of times, but good things come to those who wait.
Great name, great food. Third best Falafel in London (the best is King Solomon’s in Shepherd’s Bush, the second best is at Portobello Market). Bargain wraps and nice friendly staff
Great, delicious, healthy and a stupendously brilliant name.
Comes second only to the jacket potato stall in Covent Garden called “Dinner Jackets”.
Just Falafs also often crop up in festivals offering their particular brand of yum fayre. I experienced them at Latitide - they had one of the best food trailiers.
Really delicious falafels and wraps. I opted for the chicken, pickle and sweet potato wrap. The regular size was monstrous so lord only knows what a large looks like! This place gets really busy at lunch time, but they seem to deal with the crowds pretty well.
Delicious and nutritious. The perfect Monday lunch.
This was my first taste of London after I arrived back from 3 years in China. I must say, without regard to the fact that good hummus/falafels etc. is very hard to come by in china, that this was the best falafel i had eaten in living memory. There’s a small but tasty selection of fillings to go with it… meats, sauces, beany stuff etc. I was a little upset on seeing that one wrap costs as much as a month’s rent for me but I had already been slapped into a sense of perspective by the fact that the train journey just to get to soho cost more than my shoes. London is teeth-clenchingly, eye-squintingly expensive and you just have to put up with it… given the choice of where to piss away my slightly-hard-earned cash though, I would definitely go back to just falafs for a light lunch or dinner.
Just own the road is hummus bros. which might be owned by the same people? fairly similar gig anyway and equally delicious.
Linus I’m a fan of Maoz as weel - their 'help yourself’ approach to the toppings is a winner :)

Swift, smart and spot on sums it up. Good food at reasonable prices. Super falafel (chick peas, spices and Tahini) in myriad combinations with pickled peppers, lamb, aubergine, chilli sauce, beetroot, carrot, alfalfa and lots more besides all tidily wrapped up in a flatbread. Delicious, nutritious and filling.
