Having worked in Teignmouth for the past six months, i have had the chance to experience a number of the towns coffee shops. It makes a refreshing change to find a coffee shop who put the customer first and with a smile. The coffee is the best I've tasted and comes in mugs that aren't stained. I won't have any hesitation in coming here again or recommending them to my own customers or friends. Keep up the good work and i'll be seeing you again soon.

We have some pretty good coffee houses in Teignmouth nowadays - at last! - and this is definitely one of the best. I'm shocked to read the negative comments, because I've had nothing but good experiences there. When my soya milk curdled in my coffee one time, it was replaced immediately with an apology and a smile. The staff are very friendly and informal and always up for a chat which is how I like it. That possibly may not suit some people who prefer a more subservient attitude. Personally, I really don't like being called "Sir"! I think the coffee is great, and the hot chocolate is superb. The smoothies are also delicious. Prices seem reasonable and in fact a little cheaper than some other establishments in town.
Oh! nearly forgot - they also have free wifi which works.

Always welcoming and friendly. Staff always ready with a smile and will do anything to help and cater to individual needs such as having soy milk. Coffee is a smaller selection than previously but still a very good selection. Food always lovely in presentation and taste. Atmosphere always friendly and relaxed. Toilets and cafe always very clean and tidy. Cannot find anything negative to say.

Horribly over prices for the worst tasting coffee, the owners and staff were just plain rude swearing while children present will not be going in there again, its pretty obvious the good comments blow are from the people working there, as any normal people going there would have a negative experience

Outstanding Cap, prepared as it should be, fresh ground, tamped well, brushed basket and right duration on the pull. Milk well frothed with micro bubbles, right temp. Flavour good balance - all in all, one of the best caps I have had outside of my home.
My compliments, and also very envious of the machine! I had 2 cups over 2 days, both consistently superior to the main chains

Totally agree with the previous post by timgoodwin, have use Fresh Ground and its previous incarnation, The Coffee Trading House, both provided a good cup of coffee and snacks in pleasant surroundings at average price compared to the main chains. Please ignore the earlier negative postings which have obviously been added by a person or persons with an axe to grind, give the place a try and post an honest genuine comment.

Found a lovely coffee shop yesterday in Teignmouth. I had earl grey tea and my husband had a cappuccino. The tea was freshly made, loose leaf with beautiful blue flowers, and came with a pot of hot water and - how about this? - a biscuit. So often, coffee shops supply a biscuit with coffee but not with tea, leaving me gazing enviously at my husband's biscuit. So top marks for that. My husband said the cappuccino was lovely and the flavour of the coffee particularly good.
Add to this the calming decor, comfortable tub chairs and sofas for relaxing, and newspapers to read, what more could you ask? Well how about friendly staff? And you get that for sure. They were both very friendly and made us feel welcome.
We will definitely be going back - maybe next time to try the delicious looking sandwiches.
Oh and they serve soya milk too, so well done to Fresh Ground.

Oh Dear.. dreadful coffee, bought in scones, what is with the 70s decor???
Cheap jam but the clotted cream was ok....
Next time in teignmouth we will not be going here..........

well i went in there today and it was horrible! the new management was awful, much prefer people who used to be in partnership! the coffee was horrible, hardly hot. the food was just chucked on the plate and never did i see them smile. i went to the toilet and there was no toilet roll and when i asked for some they said they didn’t have any left, absolutely appalling! only gave them one star, because you hate to choose out of five, else i wouldn’t have even gave them one!
