Tesco Superstore

If you visit this Tesco, be sure to check your receipt and the use by dates!!
I have now lost count of the amount of times I have been overcharged here. It is well documented, even the local paper ran 2 stories; the first when I started counting (after it was happening nearly every week) and got to 14 and the next story when I was overcharged again after having had a tour of the store, told what practices they had put in place to make sure it didn’t happen again and was promptly overcharged when I went down and did my weekly shop!!
Trading standards were also involved but they only prosecute small shops.
The policy Tesco had when you were overcharged was to give you the item free and your money back. What a bargain, I must have saved a fortune and was on first name terms with all the staff at customer services. Every little helps!
Unfortunatly they quickly changed their policy overnight and very quietly (boo) and now you only get back double the difference, still every little helps and I still get overcharged on average every 3 weeks now!
Its usually quite easy to find out of date food here as well, not just meats but fruit and veg and even cereals!
Let the buyer beware!!
Still, Its quite handy for me so I continue to go there. I do often wonder though how many people never check their receipts?
On more than one occassion I have bought the same item 2 weeks later and still been overcharged so presumably everyone during that 2 week period was overcharged but didn’t notice.
Lastly watch out for the Windsor premium. I had a leaflet through my door telling me of a special offer and when I went in noticed it was still the full price in Windsor went to see my friends at customer services for an explanation. They found out that that offer was only available in Slough!!??
Upon checking in Slough and other Tesco’s, sure enough you will find several items and offers not available in Windsor.

They’re still selling out of date food, last Saturday it was sausages and still overcharging this week it was on toothbrushes, buy one get one free….no actually it was buy two pay for two!!
We’ve had other people complain about that as well they said. Really? and what have you done about it?

Nothing, thats what, but now they are getting rude with little old me for pointing out that they are not only ripping people off but trying to poison them too.

I’m always very polite and civil about it though but maybe a little loud.

This week it was pies, buy 2 get charged for 4!!!
