Bear Factory, Southampton

I think it’s fun!!! You have lots of fun choosing your bears out fits and things like that! What i liked was when you could fill your own animal by pressing a pedal. And this nice man made my day by checking out the back for my fav teddy that i wanted because there might of been none left!!! :). And i got the last teddy!!!! I called it rainbow because it has loads of mini rainbows on her :). The only down fall is that the teddys are a lot ! and the clothes are kinda cheap but when it all adds up it’s quite a lot of money! :(.

Hidden away at the bottom of West Quay shopping centre, the Bear factory is well worth a visit with kids to get them they’re own personalised bear!
Can be expensive but it is personalised and you’re bear!
Even fun for adults, but if you have a dirty mind, don’t think about the bear stuffing part, its makes you laugh far too much!

This is a lovely place to take your children. There are a selection of bear skins to choose from. Once chosen you can then add a sound to your bear the then take it to the stuffing machine to be stuffed. You can then brush him and choose from the wide range of clothes and shoes on offer. Then finally you can make an adoption certificate for your bear which gets printed and put in the carrry box with your bear. They also offer partiy packages for children which my daugher and her friends really enjoyed. The negative is the cost, it can work out very expensive. Also the stuffing machine is very noisy and when we had a party there we could barely hear the lady over the noise of the machine but other than that the staff were very nice.

What I like about this store is that when you go in it feels like a proper little factory with someone on each station, it makes it feel like you are part of something. The shop is laid out well with a large range of animals to choose from and I think they fact you can record your voice to put into the teddy bear is a very personal idea. The clothes you can buy can be a bit expensive but adds to the fun as you can dress them up in all kinds of outfits. The birth certificate is a nice touch and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.

The Bear Factory in Southampton is a very cute place for children to design or buy their own bears. There is lots of clothing for the designed bears and the shop is very large. However, the shop is very quiet and I guess the shop only really gets business during seasonal periods or birthdays, etc. The staff seems bored out of their minds and not very friendly or helpful. The teddy bears are very expensive too.

This place is great if the kids have some spare birthday or christmas money left over as they can actually stuff and personalise their own teddy bears!! and they even get a little cardboard box with a handle to travel home in!! the bears are so cute and the staff are lovely, but can be a little expensive in there!
