This is a fantastic attraction for any tourist in London. You can see some fantastic views of London, as you are very high up. I’ve been in the day, but it also supposed to be just as good in the night. Only disadvantage i would say is the price it’s a touch expensive, especially if your going with a family. All in all a great attraction to go to.

I went on the London Eye champagne flight and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I recommend purchasing a second glass because the extra money is really worth it so you have bubbles throughout your whole journey. Our host was wonderfully lovely and had many little anecdotes to share with use about the views and was also useful for taking group photos. You also get given a handy little booklet which tells you what you are looking at out of your bubble, which is great knowledge.

Half an hour is pretty much perfect for looking out over london from the brilliant clean glass (no idea when they clean it). It is worth booking tickets in advance though to avoid a huge queue. Great as part of a day out or if you live near enough as a day in itself. Would recommend going with a few friends or family though to have someone to queue with and annoyingly point famous landmarks out to while up there.

A giant ferris wheel set by the Thames, outside the old County Hall.
And pricey at £16 for a spin. Doesn’t sound too promising, does it?
But it is definitely worth seeing - great by day, but better by night, it offers you unmatched views of a surprisingly large and beautiful London.
The two things you need to have with you are a good camera or binoculars for the view, and a guide (preferably a human one rather than the paper type) to help you see the major landmarks.

At first glance the London Eye may not seem particularly interesting - just a large, very slow ferris wheel. And it costs a lot more than the average ferris wheel too!
Going in it for a ride however, is well worth it - with great views of many well known London landmarks.
Not so good on cloudy, rainy days - but great in the sun, and fantastic at night when you can see London lit up.

A giant ferris wheel on the thames…..doesnt sound special does it?
But a flight on the eye is highly recommended, in good weather stunning views across London can be seen from all angles, in lesser weather its less worth while.
It is however well worth buying a combo ticket for the eye and aquarium (Or other attraction) as this brings the prices down considerably though doesnt get you priority boarding (can be paid extra) though on my visit the que seemed long but due to the eyes constant motion was actually quite a short period spent queing - be prepared for a bag inspection ladies.

This is definately worth doing and I’m recommend going both during the day and at night - totally different experience, and at night the lights are fantastic and it’s also no so busy. It IS pretty expensive for what it is, but a must do for everyone at some point when visiting London. Worth booking in advance as the queues are usually huges, and this way you avoid that and get a timed spot.

Another landmark of London that you must visit.
It is better to book the tickets online in advance as there are a lot of people waiting in the queue to get one. If you have the tickets on hand, you can get to the fast lane which saves a lot of time.
It is better to get on the London Eye at the time of sunset as you can see both the day, evening and night view of London. If not, you may need to go there again at different time like me >_<

If you haven’t already gone on the London Eye then you should really make it a priority as one of those must-see attractions in London. We all know the downsides, yes the queue can be long, yes the weather could be rubbish, yes it is rather costly, yes you could end up in a capsule with screaming kids, but really, where else are you going to get such great views across our capital? It really is unrivalled, just make sure you do a bit of research on the weather first.

The London Eye is sort of place that should only be visited if you have a lot of patience! The sound of wailing bored children is almost enough to put you off for life! I would suggest visiting during week days, avoiding major public holidays and definitely booking online. The ride itself is about 30mins and can get quite crowded. Yet views do make it all worthwhile!

This is a great way to see London on a clear day, and a really good choice for a family day out or with visitors to the city. I have always found it much easier to pre book online, and of course you want to check the weather as it is not quite so good if the wather is bad and you dont get a view. For anyone who is concerned about virtigo, it is slow and even and you are inside so is ok. I relly like the london eye

I have been on here three times (all with different people) and last weekend end we took the children (7 years old). We pre-booked our tickets on-line and collected from a machine just inside the office area, this was pain free and very easy. Fortuantely there was no queue and although we still had half an hour till our 'flight time’ we were able to board immediatley. The children were slightly nervous at first but on seeing you did not need to be strapped in were slight less worried. We had a great time and it was a clear day so was able to see many landmarks, the view is amazing. My only negative is that it is a shame they do not offer a commentary as I feel a few pointers at what your looking at would be helpful. A guide book is extar and while looking at this and deceiding what to look at you are missing the view. Photos come out well even though you are behind glass. Overall a great 30 mins.

I visited the London Eye when on a trip to London with my Dad.It was summer time when I visited so it was alot busier than non peak times in the season. There was a rather large queue but were sent to the wrong place by one of the stewards, this meant we stood for half an hour before being told to go back to the end.I have a medical condition where I find it difficult to stand for long periods of time so we decided to get fast track tickets to save me standing for another 2 hours.Fast track is much quicker but far more expensive and worked out around £35 a ticket. Each pod has about 12 other people in it with you….I think it’s over £100 to get your own pod.It takes about 30 minutes to go around and although I thought it was nice to see I certainly didn’t think it was worth the money. However,my Dad thought it was excellent and well worth the money for the views.

London Eye in London is one of the landmarks that everyone must watch while they are in london. I think if you come back home from london tour without visiting london eye then you have missed something. Last year myself with my hubby went to london for five days where we stayed at hotel. It was our honeymoon. We had already planned our tour and the first place to visit was london eye for which i was really excited. As we went there we were surprised to see such a long queue which was for tickets. I thought today we wont get any ticket but luckily we were able to get tickets of london eye and also of maddam tussauds. When we walked to the big wheel again there was a long queue but it moved very quickly and within half hour we were able to get in the capsule of wheel. I would give a liitle advice that if someone is interested then please go early so that you dont have to wait enough.

I had been living in London for almost 4 years when I had some friends visit from abroad and we all decided to try out the London eye.
And am I glad I did. The views of London are amazing and its quite an experience. It made me fall in love with London all over again and remember why I moved here. Its a great way to see London, especially on a clear day.
I gave it 4 stars as it is expensive so its best to look for some deals. I think you may be able to get some good discounts when you purchase your train tickets and oyster sometimes have some 2 for 1 offers on. Keep an eye out and have a look in Time Out too. They sometimes have some good offers on.

This was quite a unique experience and one that i am glad have ticked off my list but i wouldnt do it again as im sure it woukd be pretty similar. the pods are huge which is great to have a walk around in, not so great if you get stuck with undesireables. you can get you photo taken but the price on top of the trip orks out very pricey indeed.

A giant ferris wheel, you might think, big deal. Well…a giant ferris wheel rising over the South Bank of the Thames may not seem exciting, but it is pretty cool.
The glass pods fit around 30odd people (some of whom are odd indeed) and rises high, very high above the river giving some spectacular views. Because the pods curve, you can even look down.
It takes about half an hour to go all the way around. Upon boarding you step onto the slowly moving pod (after being security searched - a sign of the times) unless you have a special need (a wheelchair, cane or other mobility issue) in which case they’ll stop the wheel for you.
The Eye isn’t cheap, however, booking online will save you money (and some time - even in the winter the queues are formidable.) However, if you are accompanied a disabled passenger, as I was once, you do get bumped further up the queue. Also, if your disabled passenger is in a wheelchair, the wheelchair bound person gets a discount and her companion gets on for free.
I am told night time rides are lovely - I’ve not done it at night. It is a wonderful experience - I have now done it a few times with family - I shan’t be rushing back, as there’s only so much appeal a ferris wheel can have, but for visitors to London, I highly recommend it.

This is a must for anybody who hasn’t been on the London Eye yet. Its a great way to see the sights of London.
I have been on it twice now, once in the day time, then again at night. If you manage to get a clear view day then you will be able to see for miles. However, if you want a more romantic setting, then you need to go up at night. Its truly beautiful. All the colours and landmarks lit up.
I would advise to pre-book because the line for tickets can be very long at times, then you will have to wait to get on the eye. If you book online you can also save yourself 10%.
You can also hire out a capsule for birthdays, hen do, valentines, weddings.

the most amazing way to see the sights of london and the quickest. Get there early as queing time can be quite long later on in the day. it is possible to pre book your tickets. During the flight you have your picture taken which can be purchased for a fee as you embark..

I love this attraction. Typical tourist attraction. Always busy but well worth a go. Ive been on 4 times and for me it never gets old. Its so lovely and something very romantic about seeing london from the sky at night. A little pricey but then its not something you do everyday!

The London Eye (on a clear day) is worth doing, I have been on a few times with visitors and they enjoyed it. However, if you go on a very hot sunny day, you can fry as it’s all glass, and if the weather is misty then you don’t get much of a view. Would recommend to visitors though.

Once is enough. I suppose this is a good way for a tourist to see a lot of London in one go, as a local I didn’t find it particularly interesting. Its very slow too so once you’ve had a good look around, you can easily find yourself impatient on the way back down.

Great views of central London plus a very tame ride all in one! The tour lasts about half an hour and points out some of the popular places of interest. If you search the Internet you can get good deals that combine this attraction with another or pre book your tickets.
Look out for the camera near the end!

Despite this being a big London attraction for some time I only experienced the London eye last year. We had pre-booked tickets which meant we got to jump the ticket queue. The queue for the actual ‘ride’ was lengthy but as the wheel never stops the queue moves quickly as the staff move to get you on and off as quickly as they can. We went on this for a work event and we had two guides who came on with us and gave us a potted history of the landmarks. Also as part of the package food and drinks were served as we went up over London as the sun set. It was a really enjoyable experience as it’s the best way to see the entire city from such height. You don’t realise how green London is!Despite this being a big London attraction for some time I only experienced the London eye last year. The London Eye is FANTASTIC! Go late in the day, prebook your tickets if you can, and thats probably the best way to skip the majorly long lines. Also “fast track” doesn’t REALLY mean fast track. If the place isn’t busy, don’t buy fast track! They put you into the queue halfway around the path. If theres no big queue then you’re only wasting your money.
Like i said, go at night, less people in your capsule because its less busy. So much more fun that way!! If its dark EVEN better!!
The trip all the way around takes about 30 minutes and it can get a little boring towards the end but the views on the way up and then at the top are perfect!! That is assuming its good weather of course!!
