THIS COMPANY HAVE GONE IN TO LIQUIDATION, AND PEOPLE HAVE LOST MONEY, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS COMPANY, UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT RATE -* ONE STAR.
I find this company very very dodgy, they say you can cancel bookings and receive a full refund, yet the phone numbers they offer are NEVER answered, the numbers are 0161 615 8110, and 615 8131, These lines never answer, always engaged, and not BT lines as no call back is allowed. I have sent two messages in one day, and no one has replied to them. So how can you call them to request a refund if the phone lines have benn bodged and you cannot ger a ringing tone. so I say caution with this company, if they were 100% legit they wouild allow you to call them, and they WOULD answer the phone would they not. Also they say to call the number if any problems, lieing shits. I would not pay for anything, as I think it is a bit dodgy.

I came for a photo shoot on the 9/9/2012 with a friend she's received all her package and I haven't and with being the main client I'm not particularly happy I've rang, emailed and nobody still hasn't got back to me, so writing this review was the last resort, seens though I'm paying for this package witch I haven't received will somebody get in touch as I'm not very happy!

Just wanted to leave a comment about NuyuStudios I have seen a couple of not very pleasant reviews about the studio on this site, as I googled it before I decided to book in. So I did some research around other studios first.
I am a DJ and was looking for some really edgy shots for my promotional work so my ideas were quite "out there".
Now after chatting a few times with Holly at the studio about what I needed from my images and what the studio offers I decided Nuyu got my vote.
Now just to give credit where credit is due Holly was absolutely fantastic. No pushing AT ALL she was more than happy to spend the time discussing what I needed and really made me feel like my ideas were being heard, she talked me through all my options and really reassured me.
On the day of my shoot I had alot of outfits and props to go with my promotional ideas for my shoot,
My photographer Dan, was top notch, he took time to help me decide through all my outfits and props and talked me through what kind of sets the studio had and what might work best which really made me feel like my ideas were being heard.
The shoot was amazing really fun and got loads of shots!
Now the day I booked in for I was told I would be able to get images at the end of the day without any obligation.
My viewing person Ryan was really helpful. NO HARDSELL whatsoever the part were I saw my images was really fun just really relaxed and to the point. I was talked through all the packages, given all my option in regards to direct debits etc and what I would benefit from with my promotional ideas.
I decided to get the CD and ryan really took the time to help me pick because I had so many pics!
I can honestly say I am really happy with what I got from the day. well worth giving it a go!
I dont understand why people are knocking the studio after they have bought something and saying about pressuring? I didnt see any of this at all.
And is it really that hard to say NO if you dont want anything?
I felt like I needed to put something on here that gives credit to the studio because people can always be quick to complain but not praise! I loved my shoot!

Try ringing their numbers mate, engaged all day both numbers.
0161 615 8131 and 615 8110, so how are you spposed to contact them,?? By the way they were still coming up enaged at 2030 hrs, so what is that about, and you cannot do BT call back on them. If they want better voes, make sure the frikkin phone lines are working and not ALL doctored. so they do not ring, and engaged all the time eh. -

Can I just say WOW, came here two weeks ago with my young daughter, shes very shy and we were both put at ease by the make-up artists and photographers! They were very professional and the studio had so much variety my daughter was over the moon with her make-up as was I. Thank you NuYu for what was a fantastic day, would definitely recommend this studio to all my friends. Received my pictures yesterday, they're already up on my walls! Thank you again :)

What a fabulous day my friend and I had at NuYu Studios. We went for the vintage shoot and it was awesome! The stylist who did our makeup and hair was incredible and turned us both looking utterly stunning if I do say so myself :) I had a male photographer who made me feel very relaxed and made the entire experience a true delight. my friend had a female photographer and she felt the same. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone who wants amazing professional photos.

I booked a 50's Style Makeover Shoot for my sisters 18th Birthday we visited the studio on 11 Aug 2012 , the makeover was really good and the photographer was very nice and made me feel very at ease , we all really enjoyed ourselves up to this point , however once we had finished the shoot and were sat waiting for our pictures to be airbrushed etc. the extremley hard sell began .... do not visit this studio if you struggle to be assertive and say No ...firstly we were pressurised by the girl at reception to give a list of as many mobile phone numbers as we could so that they could contact them to offer their service , when we explained that we didn't feel comfortable in doing this without asking people we were continually harassed but stood our ground.
We were then taken in to the selection session with a beyond pushy Sales Person , who as others have commented talked at you and presented a number of figures in order we felt to try and confuse you , I found the day really stressful from this point and just wanted to get out of the office it completely ruined the whole experience , we were rushed to pick the photos that we wanted but told that we could change our minds as long as we phoned back on that Saturday , only at the point of leaving were we given the contacts sheet with all the photos on it , had we been given these early on it would have made the selection process easier and we would have been able to pick what we wanted. We were also pressurised to provide the numbers of 3 friends again , which really is ironic as I would categorically not put anybody that I know through this experience .... a complete shame because after the photo shoot i thought I would recommend the studio to friends for hen do's or to have family pics taken there.
When we arrived home , I called to change the photos , however nobody picked up , I have since tried calling the 0161 615 8110 number to talk to what I thought might have been a cutomer service team who have not picked up and also emailed the studio with the photos that I wanted to change but knowbody responded and today I have recieved the disc with the photos on that I didn't want and in one of the pictures I have a label stuck to the bottom of my shoe which I was promised would be airbrushed out and it hasn't been.
I spent approx £500 ....not cheap given the eventual experience ....poor customer service .....and in the end not getting what we really wanted .... the deal that I bought on Groupon originally stated that we would get one printed photo each as well which we haven't . Overall really disappointed with the level of customer service and what was a waste of time and money given the end product.

I recently went for a make over on 15/08/12, with my step daughter we had an amazing time altough the packages were a little out of my price range we did come to a compromise that we was all happy with,I would recommend this experinecne to anyone who would like to feel like a star for the day or even if u want to be cheered up if you have been feeling down, the staff , lake up artist, photographers are really nice and flexible to work with

Coming here was the biggest, most expensive mistake I have ever made. When viewing the pictures the lady was brilliantly persuasive and pushy, didn't give me any time even though I asked to think about which package I wanted, all she did was talk talk talk about how I wouldn't get a cheaper deal anywhere else along with many false compliments thrown in as well. She printed off a 'secret print' saying don't tell anyone I'm giving this to you for free, even though everyone is entitled to a complimentary print anyway. There were no cocktails or free food offered until the end when I bought a package. I requested to have some pictures photoshopped as part of the package, they were not. I asked if my skin would be edited to look more natural, she said they do that anyway to everyone. They were not, the horrible cackey texture of the 10 layers of foundation they put on my face was still visible and streaky in the pictures. I was told the pictures will arrive in about two weeks, they arrived over a month late. Don't go here.

Had a free (apart from refundable deposit) photoshoot with my boyfriend about a month ago he was a bit nervous about going as he doesn't normally like doing that sort of thing, the hair and makeup cre weren't the most chatty and friendly but I felt really pretty afterwards so I wasn't really bothered. The photographer was great he even made my boyfriend feel at ease, over all we had an amazing morning and loved the photos when we were shown them. We agreed an amount to be paid monthly, we are still currently waiting on our photos but when I rang up yesterday to ask about where the photos are the staff were friendly and helpful and assured me that they had been printed and dispatched I was just to wait a little longer for delivery. They did give me a tracking number so I can track m order still don't know where I can track my order as I wasn't told who was delivering my order or what site I could enter my tracking number in and there is nothing on their website

I got this "free" photoshoot at NUYU Studios & it all started off pretty well. Got my make-up done & it looked good but the makeup girls weren't the most friendly. More interested in chatting to eachother bitching about people they knew.
The photoshoot itself went well, the photographer was very friendly & made me feel comfortable.
Then came the viewing of the pictures, which were very good. The prices were absolutely ridiculous though. Especially in comparison to Modelworx in Middleton who offer the same if not better quality for a much, much lower price. However I did want to keep the photos so I agreed to a price to pay off monthly.
Editing of the pictures, airbrushing is included in the price, but when I eventually received my CD with the pictures they hadn't been touched in the slightest. Which for the price I paid just wasn't acceptable. As good as the pictures were, if I wanted unedited pictures I could have handed my friend a camera! I phoned up to complain & they were very apologetic & said they would have them edited & send me another disc free of charge. This took even longer, I had to phone up another couple of times.
The second disc eventually arrived & it was EXACTLY the same as the first! Nothing had been done at all. They'd just put the same pictures unedited onto another disc & posted it out weeks later.
I phoned to complain AGAIN & wanted to just cancel the order, which they wouldn't do. Nor would they refund any of the money at all. Instead they agreed to edit the pictures & also send additional prints.
These eventually arrived a couple of weeks later & had finally been airbrushed, not brilliantly & definitely not to the standard you see on their website or on the pictures on their walls but i'd given up on them by then!

This kind of thing usually fills me with dread as I'm quite self conscious and not remotely comfortable infront of a camera, especially on a Saturday morning. But lo and behold I found myself dragged there by a friend for a photoshoot. I expected the whole experience to be pretty cheesy. But I was swiftly proved wrong. The staff are so friendly its hard not to feel comfortable with them. It was brilliant, I had a right laugh, and ended up with some really cool pictures where I look completely the opposite of my usual rabbit in headlights grimace! I would recommend it to anyone.

Well, I generally don't do this kind of stuff but, my best friend bought me this awesome experience at NuYu to celebrate my birthday. I have to say that I had so much fun. The place is very professional and organised. The make up was perfect, exactly how I wanted it and also, when I got into photography I was really nervous but the two photographers Michela and Rose were amazing. They knew how to make me feel comfortable in such a new environment. It was great. The studio is big and they have a lot of props and differents sets to make the experience even more enjoyable. highly recommended. X

I am always wary of a "free lunch" but i have to say that these guys get the blanace just right! I was reccomended by a friend who had the experience so when i received the call i thought it woudl be worth a try. The session itself was free (except the refundable booking fee) so i was waiting for the hard sell from the minute i arrived.... Yes, they had lots i could buy from refreshments to makeup to photographs and yes they tried to sell me stuff throughout the day with pursausive sales people but, to be honest, i find it more pushy in high street shops sometimes! Me and my friend had a great day in makeup and teh photoshoot and when we saw the pictures, they didnt dissapoint! Price wise, they were expensive.. but i was expecting that! But, having been to other studios including Venture and NewID, they were cheaper than most places! I've yet to find a photo studio that doesnt have expensive pictures but its completely up to you if you want to buy! Our sales guy was very pursausive but I can hold my own and i bought what i wanted to buy not the other way round.... So, i would say to anyone not sure: give it a go! it's actually really good fun and you only have to buy stuff if you want to.

Me and my friend had a photoshoot by Nuyu yesterday and it was great fun and I loved my photos so much that I got them all on a disc. I must admit I was nervous about how my makeover would turn out and about posing infront of the camera but the makeup lady was brilliant and made me look exactly as I wanted and the photographer helped me and even got me to do an underwear shot, which I never thought I would do!
Id recommend anyone to go for a photoshoot there as they made me look and feel like a princess :)
