You can't sign up for the gym and have the induction on the same day, even though I was told this was possible. When they finally managed to book me an appointment in my lunch hour to sign up and have an induction, it turned out that the induction would take 45mins (I was told 15mins over the phone) and they wouldn't be able to do it all at the same time because the induction was booked for 1pm and I wouldn't have time to sign up prior to this.
Basically, I wasted my lunch break waiting for them to ultimately tell me I couldn't sign up and get inducted, despite lengthy phone calls to arrange this.
I was also expected to pay £35 joining fee plus 2 months membership upfront because my direct debit couldn't be started until the end of January.
Really, it's incredibly hard to join this gym if you work regular hours. It was such a shambles that I didn't actually want to experience their facilities. They might be incredible, but I didn't have the opportunity to see them. When someone is super keen to sign up and pay you money every month, you should probably make this a little easier.
I take my daughter here swimming she loves and we both enjoy it. I find the only problem is the changing rooms. Layout abit strange…two doors per a changing room? :S

I used to go there a lot with my son, unfortunately the pools are often dirty, especially the kid’s pool and the changing rooms often smell of wee. Apart from that, the water temperature is too low, so cold that my son’s lips would go blue!). It is not expensive but the cleanliness is not up to scratch. Several times my son ended up with ear or chest infection. Get your family in the water at your own peril.

Good facilities and good family fun

Good facilities, but if you are intending to take your family swimming, then be aware that even if they rope off an area for hardened swimmers, the swimmers do not use it and take up the whole pool, so it is very difficult to relax with your kids. The cafe provides basic food.

This is a great modern leisure centre situated in the heart of Bradley Stoke. It has a large sports hall (used for football, tennis, badminton etc.), a swimming pool (large adult pool plus a pretty big kids pool – which is ideal for the kids to learn to swim in),a fitness centre and loads of other rooms for other sports. There’s also a soft play area for the younger kids, an outdoor play area, a bar, big screen sports and a library. So there’s something for everyone. There are loads of lessons going on for the kids every day, from swimming to judo. There’s also an outdoor skateboard park to keep the teenagers amused. The only problem is the car park. It’s a bit small for such a busy facility. There is now a gravel overflow car park, but also gets full. Other than that, this is a first class facility that matches the needs of the community well.

This is a great Leisure Centre with up to date facilities.
It has numerous activites going on, some through out
the day such as, a number of aerobics classes and keep fit related classes, gym, soft play area for children up to the
age of 8 years old. In the school holidays they have lots of children’s activities going on and they have ’’escape from parents days’’, which is a activity based day, they do different themed days to try to keep the children entertained so they do not get board with the same activities each time they go, it is a whole day from around 9.30-3.30 for children around 5 to 11 years old. my son has gone before and he enjoyed it. The have a cafe, bar outside play area, hairdressers, swimming pool which the do swimming lessons in, library, an number of martial arts. you can also have sports activity party’s and hire out rooms which i have done and they are responsibly priced. There is also a nail salon. overall I think this Leisure Centre is a very good venue with reasonable prices for all of its actives food and drink.
