A relatively small camping site in the southern end of the Oslo fjord. It is a bit cheaper than the other two big camping sites near Oslo, but it certainly isn't classy. Closer to the highway than the fjord, a permanent background of low street noise is granted.

The site is a good option if you're traveling without a car, or prefer to avoid the high parking fees in the center. Two bus lines, one express line, take you to the center of Oslo in 15-25 minutes.

The sanitary facilities are pretty lousy, but you weren't going to stay for a long time anyway.

Do take a short walk in the park on the other side of the road where you can walk along the fjord and have a first (or last) glimpse of the city.
