Review of 32 Elder Street from 6 May 2012
The painter,Mark Gertler,was born in this house to
jewish polish parents.He became a member of the
Bloomsbury Group after leaving the Slade.
His unrequited love for Dora Carrington, eventually 
led to his suicide in 1939 suffering from financial
difficulties, he had been rejected by his wife, & the 
Lefevre gallery.
