Miller and Carter Steakhouse

We had my granddaughters 18th birthday at the miller and Carter earlier this year, April 2012, but I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion. The menu is limited but is generally expensive. Some of the party had Steak but they didn't seem to me to be worth the money. The only other choices include burger and chips, which are also expensive but not much better than burger king. They don't do caraffe's of house wine, so be prepared to pay heavily for bottles of poor quality plonk. Enough to say we won't be going for a meal again.

there steaks are the best in the area, but my favorite is the seabass.

I had an awful meal here!! The steak had to be sent back 3 times!! Wasnt happy, everyone i was with had finished their meal by the time mine was right. They did give me complementary drink and also got meal for free after complaint.

Great place, food brilliant and so tasty also the staff are so friendly.
There's a huge car park so parking's no problem and there's no specific dress code so as long as your neat and tidy your made welcome.

We had an absolutelly beautiful meal, could not fault the food or service!
Our only down fall was that we had to wait 2 hours for a table as they do not take bookings

Since become a miller and carter steakhouse the opinions about this eaterie have shot though the roof. Anytime i hear someone ask for recommendations at least 3 people recommend this place, and i’d be one of them!

I’ve been a few times and not once had any problems with any of the food. Only once were we kept waiting for a table when a member of staff bumped up a couple of friends to our table and time, but after we pointed this out to another member of staff we were supplied complimentary drinks so were very happy! (we weren’t expecting anything, just wanted to make the management aware of the situation.

There is a good selection of food, and although the majority of it is steak which i’m not a fan of, the chicken dishes are divine. I like that you walk past the open fronted kitchen as you go to the tables as it gives you a chance to see a quick glimpse of the hygiene, which i;m pleased to say always looks to be of the highest standard.

I went here with friends as part of a massive 3 day bike ride, so I’d probably have happily eaten anything.

But this was as near to faultless as you can get from a steakhouse. My Ripeye was perfect and the “wedges” of iceberg lettuce even worked. The staff were also very friendly.

The only minor gripe came from a couple in the group who found the rump steak a bit tough. It got the thumbs up from the other 12 people though.

This pub has changed hands recently and has been changed for the better.
The inside is much better than before, its always clean and tidy.
The staff are polite and helpful, the access is great and now it is a steak house the food is great.
It can be a bit expensive, but you don,t mind if the food is great.

The inside is much nicer as well and you feel much more welcome to be there by the furnishing and the staff. it has plenty of parking due to it being not very central to any town or city particulary. It isnt too cheap but the quality is definately what you pay for, the steaks are fantastic and they really do know how to cook them. Nice place to go for a birthdya meal or something, never been when its particualy busy but i imagine it can be quite popular. the restaurant is always kept clean and tidy. nice place to go to eat

I find the menu has various wide choices for a variety of diets, tastes etc. I can especially commend the puddings, which have been fantastic. Beefeater specialises in food (especially meat dishes) of all kinds so if you love a good prime cut, I recommend that after reading these all these Trustedplaces reviews, you find your nearest Beefeater Restaurant and give them a good old try.; I’m sure you wont be disappointed. They also do a set menu during certain times.. Which helps the more budget cautious. Again, restaurants have always been spotless and clean.I’ve been a few times and every time has been a good experience especially with the staff.

THIS IS NO LONGER A BEEFEATER RESTAURANT WHERE THE FOOD WAS NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT, BUT NOW IT IS A MILLER & CARTER STEAKHOUSE WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.

IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REFURBISHED AND NOW OFFER CONTEMPORARY DINING AND FANTASTIC FOOD. THERE STEAKS ARE TO DIE FOR AND THE ONION BREAD THAT COMES WITH THEM IS LOVELY. ITS NOT CHEAP BUT IF YOU FANCY A NICE MEAL OUT THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.
