I was looking for a Pinot Noir from Oregon and found it here: Say no more!
I haven`t seen previous commentators mention the array of excellent Single Malts which you can also find here. It`s the drinker`s equivalent of a rare book shop. Well done
growing up in Clitheroe, the store has always been something I've known of and remember visiting, but only in more recent (post uni) years has my palate grown to appeciate the wonder that is Byrne's! Where do i start? just the port in its own is a wondrous collection! guys, you rock!

This quaint wine merchants off the High Street, has a lovely atmosphere, full of history and their cellars are open to view.
I was introduced by a wine lover between a wedding and a reception and here I had my first introduction to Portuguese wines.
There is only a small range at the very back of the cellar along with some other very interesting varieties.
Do you want something a little different, and a lovely day out into the countryside and a visit to a pretty market town? This is the one!

Excellent range of wines for all tastes and occasions. There are many wines here that are not easily found in other places and certainly not in the supermarket. The staff have a good pool of knowledge about the suitability of wines and their uses. I enjoy a particular SA wine that I can only get in SA! I have seen it in this shop and was told that if you order a certain wine, they can usually get it for you.

An Aladdin’s cave of wine. Or a rabbit warren! Endless rooms of wine of every possible requirement and very good unpretentious advice from the Byrne family or their employees. There seems to be no bias towards any propducer or region, they just tell you what you need to know. Because the family own the building prices can be kept relatively low.
