i found it really bad as i traveled from London to Manchester my couch was at 12 and i was there for half 11 on the 7th June 2011 and it was an hour late i was very displeased with this company and would not use it again. and when i go on the megabus website where i booked my ticket i found no way of contacting them without it costing me more than my journey.
I decided to try to save money by taking megabus for a return from Manchester to London. On both journeys, the bus was hours late - a fact which did not bother any megabus member of staff in the slightest and no sign of apology or regret was forthcoming. When asked about when the bus in question was arriving, I was told “we have no idea.” On the journey down, the toilet was clearly not adequately cleaned as the whole bus stank of it. On the way back, instead of a coach, they sent a normal 'magic bus’ (two hours later I might add) from the streets of Manchester. This bus had no toilets or luggage hold and the seats were ill designed for long journeys, with nowhere to rest your head. I would pay the extra few pounds and travel National Express next time.

Fantastic!!Book early to get to London from the north west for £1 !! Take sandwiches and drinks and enjoy the journey. The bus does not stop so go prepared. Sometimes just time for a toilet break when they change drivers.

The “mega rider” bus pass provided by the megabus is a great investment for anyone travelling to and from Manchester city from anywhere along the Wilmslow road, as it costs £10 for the week which is pretty good. This bus is a comparitive luxury compared to the magic bus, and is generally a little less packed altough it does be wall to wall also when peak times hit in the morning and between 5 and 6pm. The bus caters for more than the wilmslow road faithful, and their are services which go as far as the southern cemetery, which is great value for money. The mega bus is ran by the stagecoach company, and does include night services with its “meda rider” pass.

a super cheap way to travel around the country. the bus is quite comfy big seats lots of room. and a pull down bit so you can rest your drink on it., if you are going to use the toilet make sure you do it near the beginig of you journey. the buses that run form london to the north dont have time to do any emptying so its a bit of a state by the end of the journey. you can also expect the bus coming up from london to be late i used to get it up north every saturday it was usually a few hours late due to the traffic and theres not really anyone you can ask for info. other than traffic which cant really be helped, you cant really complain for the price.

Book early and you can get £1 journeys to/from London! You can’t really ask for much at that price. Seats are average and journey time is longer than taking a train, but for the price paid I won’t be complaining! Just have a few snacks, listen to your ipod and sleep during your journey and you can get to your destination in no time, and be happy with yourself for the amount of money saved!

Great long distance bus company from Stagecoach, offering inter-city travel for bargain prices, book far enough in advance and a trip from Manchester to London can be under £5! They use both bus and trains, a great alternative to other bus/coach companies. There is usually a toilet onboard, it can get pretty smells on longer journeys! It’s no frills so take something to eat, they run til the early morning too. It can be full of women with screaming kids and people who refuse to wear deoderant, but the majority of times I have used them it’s been excellent! Various destinations, great for travel on a budget. Buses run from directly outside the Coach Station on Chorlton Street, best to get there early as there’s usually a scamble for good seats(?) and It will depart on time, so if you aren’t there- the bus will leave without you!
