I went to visit today and must say that the service blew me away. The quality of the food; from the presentation, to the customer service, and the overall attitude was impeccable.
I had been informed that there was some-sort of happy hour on, which meant that when you ordered a main meal, you get a starter for £1. This allowed me to get some wings as starters (very nicely presented with salad and the right amount of sauce). I then ordered a beef burger with chips. The burger was actually a burger, not a pressed slab of squeezed meat like you'd find in most places. Again, there were helpful portions of salad and chips.
I decided to get a mocktail as I had heard a lot about the famous non-alcoholic drinks here. It was a perfectly made mojito with the right sized chunks of ice and mint. It was a big glass too.
Now that had had finished out pretty full-on meal, we (my friend and I) had agreed that there was no possible way dessert would be a good idea. After some thought, we caved in in the end.
I settled for a 'Winter Apple Wonderland'. This was an apple pie and custard. Far from being your usual taken out of the box kind, this looked amazing. Dusted with frosting and the custard was in a little tiny jug of its own.
Apparently we had the option of having a free hot drink with our dessert, so we both settled for gingerbread lattes. The waiter brought two tall glasses to the table and asked if we could spot the difference between the two. One had actually been layered. So it was done in three different tones of colour. It's a hard thing to describe unless you actually see it. And it tasted like actual latte, made with a proper machine. Not one that comes out of a freeze dried packet.
As if we hadn't already been wowed by the quality of the venue, the food and the service, these small added touches really made it a brilliant experience. I apologise for the extended essay, but I hope it helps others to give D'Gaf a go when they are in the area.

It's about a 15-20 minute walk from there but I got lazy and took a cab for about £3 instead :P
Lovely little spot with excellent food, music, atmosphere, and most importantly, shisha!
I only saw the roof, since I had wanted a good smoking session on the shish with a meal and the place really does light up beautifully in the evening. My meal was exceptional as well, roast beef with vegetables - well cooked and flavoured.
What's great about this place as well is the non alcoholic wines, cocktails (mocktails) and other beverages they serve (they've even got non alcoholic pear cider!)
So, if you're in the area, you HAVE to pop into this place or you have FACTUALLY missed out!
