Mercure Nottingham City Centre Hotel

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

I took my husband here as a treat for his birthday along with tickets to see Guns N Roses at the Capital FM Arena.  I had mentioned my husband's birthday to the staff as I asked them to have a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival, which they were more than happy to accommodate, and they also wrote him a little card along with some complimentary shortbread cakes and vouchers for two free drinks at the hotel bar.  Such attention to detail and going out of their way to make our stay a good one was incredible, especially as we were only there for one night.

I paid extra and went for a large executive room (shown in the photos I uploaded - Room 201) - at first glance it didn't look like you got a whole lot extra, but there is more space in the room, the bed is HUGE and one of the most comfortable night's sleeps I have ever had, and the shower was powerful and big enough for two ;)

Despite being in the city centre, the noise level was minimal and the staff were friendly and helpful no matter what time of day, night or early morning we spoke to them! Breakfast was of good quality and had a lot of variety to choose from - delicious all round.

Would recommend and if I venture Nottingham way again, I will definitely be staying here!
