Olympus Fish & Chips

Olympus is a fantastic fish and chip restaurant. We go here whenever we are in Bolton and from them opening the door and helping you with your coat (immediately impressed) to them bringing your food within minutes the whole experience is great. The prices can be a little expensive for the portion sizes however the quality is undeniable. During my many visits I have had tasted the teacakes, sandwiches, fish and chips and chicken and chips - all cooked to perfection and have enjoyed the home made apple pie and custard, which was delicious. It's a great place and they even have a pianist to entertain you once a week! If you ever visit Bolton, you must check it out!

Visited yesterday following a recommendation from a lady I met on the train and I was not disappointed. The pensioners special fish and chips was excellent, the service first class and very friendly. I loved the pianist playing throughout , a lovely touch and lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

We have been visiting the Olympus Fish & Chip Restaurant in Bolton for a number of years now and have to say that their personal attention and service are second to none. Their fish and chips are superb and I would recommend that you pay them a visit asap. I can assure you that you will be impressed and will call again and again.

Had a good breakfast here, cheap sausages, and only one of everything….but cheap, and included a brew.

The best fish and chips in the area, it's a little pricey but you pay for quality!

I recommend Olympus to everyone.

I only ever order the chicken and chips from here, but it is excellent, if some what pricey. The staff are great in the take-away section, always polite and friendly, real service with a smile. Have only been in the eat-in section once a couple of years back, but as I recall the service was fantastic here too, although it was even more expensive than the take-away section. Having said that, the food was certainly worth the price!

This place is split into two halves the 'take away’ part and the eat-in restaurant. The restaurant is fantastic, it’s clean, furnished nicely and it has ample seating without making you feel as if you’ve been crammed inside.

The staff are attentive, polite and courteous really paying attention to good old fashioned customer service, just like it should be but in most places sadly isn’t! Also their uniform makes them look distinctive and professional.

The food is good old English chippy food and good at that. portions aren’t overtly large however but will suffice and keep you ticking over until your next meal.

THis is the perfect place to go for any occasion irregardless of who you’re with and the massive cross-section of customers prooves this from families, to couple, people on their own and the elderly (they do cracking OAP deals)

However, the only downside is the extortionate price and how much it has jumped up over the past few years, as in serious increase not small sneaking ones. In a word, it’s 'expensive’. If you want a special treat this is the place but if you’re feeling the pinch, i’d suggest getting takeaway (although in my opinion 55p for a barm cake is a bit over the top!)

This place is flawless. perfect food, the nicest staff you could possibly have (where else nowadays opens the door for you on arrival and departure and helps you with you coat??) its just the best fish and chip restaurant in bolton and is an essential visit if you are hungry and in town!!!!
