Ann Et Vin

An absolute gem of a wine shop, with a lovely outdoor area for the odd glass of wine or coffee every now and then. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the whole experience is a delight. Much better than any other wine stockist in town!

One of the real finds in Newark. Ann is a master of wine of all kinds! Her staff are quick, friendly and knowledgeable.

The wine selection is massive and full of finds. She has a decent selection of sherry, and dessert wines. She also has chocolates and wine themed gifts.

The cafe is wonderful, especially the sweets! Excellent coffee and non-alcoholic selection.

She has a few special events each season that are well worth looking into.

Best Wine Merchant in Newark by Far,

asked the owner if they had a Charente, no particular year,
and as if by magic she did have one bottle, which she remembered fetching herself from the region.

I don’t know if anyone will know but Charente is in the Grande Champagne region near Cognac so, most of their grapes end up in Cognac or Liqueurs,

We went to La Rochelle on our Honeymoon, and I bought the bottle for our anniversary as the area is special to us.

They have a really good stock of Wines and wine related Merchandise, as well as selling Tapas in their licensed Caf’e garden area, which is a really nice feature and is well worth trying

a great place for champagne & very fine wines the staff are so helpful & really do know what their talking about
