Cafe Monsoon

Visited the restaurant on Saturday 07th March with friends who eat there regularly. We had pre-booked the table for 19:30 and arrived 10 mins. late. We were not seated until 20:30 then having to wait until 21:50 for the 1st course to be served, which was missing items. The next dish was then served at 22:35 some 3 hours after we had arrived. The service was surly and we given the feeling that we were an inconvenience. The food quality was poor in comparison to other restaurants in the area and tasted of Curry powder. The waiting staff seemed more interested in pleasing the clientele they knew rather than our table. Poor service, Poor quality of food, staff not caring or making any apology for the delays. I would not eat here again. Style wins out against substance.

I have both eaten in and used the takeaway service from this restaurant, the food is lovely. Service is always top notch and great menu, I have tried lots of new dishes from this place and never had a bad meal yet.

Contemporary Indian cuisine offered at an old farmhouse with almost retro '50s style decor? Cafe Monsoon is different to say the least.

But that’s different in a good way. When you walk into Cafe Monsoon the door is opened for you by one of the young team of waiters and the first thing you notice is the open, airy space with brighly coloured 'seating pods’. You won’t find any brazen red carpet or busy red wall paper in this Indian Restaurant.

The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes, but if you’d like something they don’t offer, just ask them and they’ll make it for you. Nothing’s too much trouble.

When you order a takeaway from here, they also carry the bags/boxes out to your car for you too - a nice touch.

Contemporary style Indian Restaurant, very modern decor, friendly staff and some really nice and really different dishes. Just outside of the town and a huge car park so no parking worries.
One of my favourites.
