If the calibre of a pub was based on the quality of engaging conversation and not the quality of upholstery, this place would rate near a perfect 10. Parched after an eventful Brighton Pride, this pub was suitably located to offer a lubricating respite after a stompin' day of parade, party and emotional farewells. So I'm sitting propped up on the pavement arm in arm with a compelling companion who moved me with lifetime tales and lessons learnt. More of an aquarium than a circus, I'll remember this place for pain, pleasure and everything in between.

“Oh look it’s Circus Circus.”
“Don’t they serve Thia food?”
“Why yes they do. They also have free Wi-Fi and a few plasma screens showing all the big sporting events.”
“Jiminy Cricket!”
“Exactly. With its friendly staff and relaxed ambience I reckon it’s the place for us!”
“Hey, maybe we could grab a pint before the film and come back for dinner after.”
“That’s a fine idea my good man. A fine idea.”

My local. Very friendly staff and good beer. The outside drinking is good (especially if you enjoy people-watching). Not so good sometimes if you have sensitive ear drums with a fire station directly opposite (unless you like firemen)!
The food is good. They have their own Thai restaurant. Food served daily between 1200 to 1500 and 1800 to 2100 (or thereabouts).
Give it a go!
This is a modern pub located on the main road to London. It is actually an old pub that was modernised a few years back.
It has a some nice comfy sofas inside, and several tables outside where you can watch the people walking by. Or fire engines leave the fire station.
Inside there is a thai restaurant, which I didn’t try so I can’t comment on that.
They serve the standard range of drinks: Guiness, Grolsch Strongbow plus several bottled beers, and Harveys ( a local Real Ale). The Harveys was actually quite decent (although not quite as good as that served in the Hare & Hounds on the opposite corner of the junction!)
This is a wecolming pub where the casual passerby doesn’t feel at easy when they pop in.
