Fabulous hotel, very handy for SECC or for a breakfast meeting. Lovely restaurant overlooking River Clyde. Dinner good, breakfast amazing. Worthy of more stars than it has.

Sunday lunch:
Can here for a family Sunday lunch with a load of adults and small kids.
Really nice location and nicely set tables with linen, etc.
Buffet starters and desserts ("all you can eat") and then main off small menu - meat, fish, or veg - but it was Sunday lunch after all.
I chose the beef - "roast ribeye" and was really surprised and pleased to get a big chunk (about 1/2 in thick) of rare tender beef (you can also have it well done if you prefer).
Not the cheapest but worth the money

I love the City Inns. I stayed here at the weekend, having previously stayed in the sisters in London and Bristol. It’s a cracking hotel and great value for money. Like Malmaison in the good old days.

I was sharing a room with my drunken and then hungover friend and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Although a trace of irritation snuck in when we phoned room service for the third time at 4am to ask about wholesome healthy food options.

The mattresses are nicely hard. Proper duvets rather than blankets. Brilliantly stocked mini bar with Budvar and Bombay Sapphire. Complimentary chocolates. And a stunning view of the Clyde and that beautiful new(ish) bridge. A great breakfast and a lovely lunch on the sun terrace the next day.

Enjoy and do give them my compliments!

I stayed at this hotel for a short weekend break and loved it!
The food in the restuarant is lovely and the room was clean, modern and fresh, and a great size.
The bathroom was great with an amazing shower - very powerful!
Comfy bed, great view of the Clyde and the new 'squinty’ bridge, and easy access to the SECC and Armidillo concert and exhibition halls.
Easy access to this hotel can be found from the nearby Exhibition Centre train station, and there is a nearby car park too.

The City Inn is a standard chain hotel, situated right beside the River Clyde. This has its advantages the decking area right beside the river is lovely, and it is close to the SECC I stayed here when we were at a concert there as its a nightmare to get home but it is a fair distance from the city centre not walking i dont think unless your a keen walker, and the public transport isnt great in this area. My room was nice fitted out with a TV/DVD player I was told that a DVD library is avaible at reception, air conditioning and river facing window. The bathroom was also fitted out with a modern shower and nice handbasin unit and shaving mirror. The doorman at the entrance is also a nice touch.

Great hotel, less than a 5 minute walk from the SECC, the staff are polite and the rooms are clean & modern only down side was that there was no bath in our room but we still really enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant hotel. I stayed here in march of this year and it was my first time staying at this hotel. I was very impressed by the room i had. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The room i had included an 15 inch lcd tv and dvd player, free broadband, a mini bar, a safe, a walk in shower, dressing gowns, a massive bed, a great selection of extras (payable extras added to your account) such as crisps, toothpaste and tooth brush, biscuits and other things.

The also loan you a cable if you want to use the free broadband if you haven’t got a cable for your laptop. you also get free use of the on site gym and a pass to a lesuire facility across from the hotel.

the hotel is close to the secc so excellent for when you go to concerts or conferences etc. hogly recommended hotel.
