Really good relaxed cafe in the warren of streets that make up the Alfama district.
A completely informal vibe makes this a cafe to spend time in and enjoy the good food. The decor is modern and includes sofas, easy chairs, stools and big tables to share. Music was good as well – nothing cheesy here!
I can’t really comment on the menu apart from the smoked salmon sandwich with salad that I had but the salad was dressed well, really crunchy and tasty as well as a sandwich which had good flavour and a generous amount of cream cheese with it.
I would recommend this cafe as a step away from the tourist cafes and more in tune with the more genuine Lisbon.

The soup I tried (can’t quite remember what flavour it was), was under seasoned, but I suppose better that you can add your own seasoning. The sandwich was ok but not overwhelmingly different from what you could make yourself or find at a supermarket.
Nice staff though and free wifi too.

Great café. Fantastic ambiance. There are toys for the kids and books for the adults. The pastries and coffee are great. Feels like San Francisco by way of Austria, populated only by happy, friendly people.

Charming cafe held by Austrian ladies in the heart of the old Lisbon near a paved street. Very pleasant to read a newspaper, while eating a delicious and filling brunch. Also, some innovative sandwiches, and other dishes, as well as wonderful patisserie. the decor is comfortable and simple: Recycled furniture, soft benches, old chairs, old wooden tables in a big room with apparent bricks and a high ceiling.
