Yes the store is bigger and has pretty much what i need. But it is too expensive staff are unhelpful and quite frankly theres not enough of them to help. I have had terrible service from the opticians and complained to tesco customer service who took the word of the employee despite the fact we had written proof of everything!!!!! I am fed up of boy racers using the car park as a playground and have complained numerous times about the dangers. On one occassion i complained about a member of staff who was also racing round and with any complaints made i have never seen any outcome/action taken and have always been looked at like dirt. I dont recommend this store and have been shopping else where so that when i drive past and see the sign that says saving you money everyday! I am cause im not throwing it into a money grabbing business that has no respect for its customers.

Accessbile and large store and it has a cafe, but not a lot of choice and variety, especially for meat.

probably the worst store in the UK - our shopping is delivered by the Lichfield branch and it regularly (at least 14 times in a row) sends items out of date, meat that has gone brown and is more than 2 days out of date, fresh produce with mould on, bread with a day left on it, and after repeated attempts at sorting it out with the Team Leader Julia and Dot Com manager Tom Burnett, we have got nowhere, it's still happening, the lastest shop being delivered with mouldy strawberries and bacon 2 days out of date. We are now contacting trading standards and Tesco CEO after obtaining legal advice. DONT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!

Now the store has been newly rebuilt and is now much bigger and better. the variety of the merchandise is now very good, i can find anything i want in this store. Another bonus is the 24hr opening during the week, i often pop in when i find myself wide awake at night. the fuel on sale is as you would expect, cheap.

This is a small tesco store but is great for a weekly shop, has a good carpark. Helpful, friendly staff and have great offers and reductions. Has a petrol station also.

This is a smaller store than most others nearby but it is great for all essentials and weekly shops. It does have a cafe and pharmacy which is useful and a small selection of cds dvds and games. It has an instore bakery and hot and cold delicatesen also with fish counter. The queues can get really long in the peak times and they hardly ever open up more counters for you. The car park also gets really busy as most people tend to park there when going into town because it is free. If there are any special offers on, do not expect to see them in this store as they sell out really quickly unless you go in the middle of the night and then its quiet and you can get exactly what you want

Tesco’s in Lichfield is a 24 hours store - except Sunday of course, and is currently awaiting redevelopment into a Superstore. As it isn’t yet developed expect some changes and construction work through late 2008.

Its range doesn’t include the superstore items such as Electrical, Home and Garden but it provides convenience through the provision of most items that we need, especially as you can nip in, in the middle of the night to top up on something.

The petrol station closes at 11pm, although credit/debit cards can be used through the night.

If you also want to visit Aldi, which is adjacent to Tesco, this would mean that your travel expenses are minimised.

Service is not always fantastic here, queueing is common at the checkouts, even outside of what might be thought of as peak times. Though this is somewhat helped as there are self-service checkouts provided now - listed as upto 10 items, but you don’t get thrown off if you have more!

Other facilities -
cafe - open from 8am Mon to Sat, 10am Sunday, serving breakfast until 11.30am.
pharmacy - until 7 or 8pm Monday to Saturday.

this is a small tesco store but sells most items. does not have a electrical dept like TVs or videos but does boast of having a butcher counter and fish counter.
the bakery is busy at night making fresh bread for the morning and dont make you hungry after a night out.
has a large carpark with a footpath leading to the town centre.
best time to get your reductions from this store is about 7.30pm on a Saturday when they sometimes reduce items to a silly price of ten pence for a joint of beef or a chicken.
