Amaretto are now offering a 50% discount of the food bill as a way to demonstrate their corporate and social responsibility. By partnering with Carbon Free Dining (http://www.carbonfreedining.co.uk) they are taking part in an initiative which is backed by the United Nations Billion Tree Campaign. This means for every diner that claims the 50% discount voucher a tree is planted to offset the carbon associated with the production, preparation and transportation of the meals ingredients. To claim the 50% off and help the environment visit http://bit.ly/dx7RiZ . The carbon footprint of a meal is between 10kg and 30kg, yet in the lifetime of a tree it will offset about 1000kg of carbon.
Amaretto is my new favourite Italian restaurant in London. I work near it, and I can't believe I hadn't been there sooner.
When I went I hadn't had proper Southern Italian food in a while. Plus, I almost never order pasta in a restaurant. It sounded good.
We ordered some nibbles of bread and olives as well as some bruschetta, which was fresh and perfect.
I also tried the homemade gnocchi in a tomato sauce with buffalo mozzarella gratin, which was a-ma-zing. I forgot how much I liked fatty pasta. Crispy baked cheese on little potato dumplings. What more could you ask for?
Absolutely delicious.
Love, love, love Amaretto. I can't believe I've walked by it nearly everyday for a year and never went in. Can't wait to go back.

A family run Italian restaurant, which I would highly recommend. The menu is reasonably priced and has a wide selection of dishes. My personal favourite is the homemade lasagne, but the pizzas and steaks are also scrumptious.
Located next to Warren Street station, it is highly accessible. Take my word for it, you WILL not be disappointed. The manager/owner is very welcoming and approachable, and Amaretto is a clear example of how a restaurant should be run.
