Review of Shepherdess Walk Bridge from 1 October 2008

The bridge itself doesn’t carry cars, but has been pedestrianised. At street level south of the canal on one side there’s the Holborn Studios, a photographic studios hiring space for many famous advertising campaigns and film poster shoots. I’ve been lucky enough to see inside one of the warehouse developments overlooking the canal here. I’m told each of the apartments has been done up to the individual tastes of tenants, even to the point of having totally different layouts of internal walls, so I don’t think there’d be a point to describing the flat I have seen… What I will say is that the top floor has simply stunning views.

Access to the canal is via a ramp. Currently due to building work this is surrounded by high hoardings. To the East there’s some boat moorings. Under the bridge is the location of Banksy’s Hoodie.

Apparently this is officially bridge number 40.
