Decided to have lunch before we flew and opted for the Full Monty - well what an experience probably the best breakfast tasted in a long time. When we arrive we were seated quickly and our server arrived and took the order for drinks, because the Full Monty is cooked to order we waited a short time and then it arrived, it had been cooked in its own dish, piping hot and very good value for money.
Whilst waiting for a flight out the north terminal we noticed the addition of Jamie's Italian and thought we'd give it a go. As we waited to be seated the 3 staff whom had been chatting simply scattered leaving us feeling most unwelcome. This hostility laden theme continued as when we were finally seen too and asking to sit by the window, we were informed sorry the table is dirty . . Ok said I, not fussy give it a quick wipe and we'll be happy. This was clearly the wrong answer to the warden. She then launched into a discourse as to how it was against the law and further more why would you want to sit at a dirty table? We were dumped on a perfectly acceptable alternative but the tone had been set.
Spinning through the drinks menu the cheapest bottle of fizz was priced at 69 pounds compared to 39 at cafe rouge .(where we ended up) upon making enquiries about the menu, again the warden now clearly relishing her roll was at best dismissive and inattentive at worst down right rude. . and at this point it dawned on me. . Hold on I am paying I am on holiday I don't need to take this **** so we left.
So Jamie if your out there you need to change the prison warden at the north terminal, whilst your mark up on the wine is bluntly criminal!
