Brilliant place ! Highly recommended. You see so many things made 1/10th of their size.
I have uploaded some pictures of Model Village so be sure to check it out.
The Merrivale Model Village is closed for winter until March 29th 2009. I hadn’t been to the model village for many years but I visited this year and really enjoyed it. They’ve added a huge new castle model in the center of the “village” and if you go by night in summer the lights look lovely!

I can remember going here as a child and it still sticks in my mind especially when it was all lit up after dark, i have since taken my children round it and they love it as well. I particularly remember the model railway running through it and the church with singing coming from it.
It is situated along the main seafront road but is out of town and it can be difficult to park near, we usually park down by the pleasure beach fun fair and walk up although for tiny feet its still bit of a trek.
Well worth a visit. It has stuck in my mind as being a magical experience when i was a child.

We visited here in the summer holidays of this year and absolutly loved it. My 4 year old daughter loved it as well as us. At night time it illuminates to add to the magic of the place. Reasonable entrance costs which always helps on holiday. The only gripe about it is and its not its fault but parking is horrific. You have to park miles away and walk to it--not easy with a moaning 4 year old.But its a great place and one we would definatly visit again if we visit the area again.

A great little place on the seafront, you can easily waste an hour or two in here and the kids will love it, and the cafe that’s attached is very reasonable
